Bravo! i feel u on the gene tip but in all actuality fear is taught just like everything else we develop as we grow ima prime example of this sickness but since i have bn takin my medicine (knowthyself) fear is in regression...Positive Energy Always Corrects Errors
Well i guess the fear gene can translate into black people, especially older black people, becoming hostile towards technology. I had to get away from my ignorant family. They still hold onto those "slave values" and think that life is nothing more than struggle and a barely making it existence:( I was told to not do"white people things" like travel, invest money, etc.My lil bro is currently living with my grandparents and they were literally "sharecroppers", They want him to be a f*ckin nurse.
@Fungigi I have an ignorant family as well. I applaud you for leaving them. They will bring you down. So you invest money, travel etc. Religion has made suffering a virtue. Take Care of yourself.
I recently read a book called "Bullwhip Days",where on the plantation, the master owns everything, the overseer oversaw production and the black slavedriver, who kept the niggers in line and was often the most brutal of the three.Today, the black slavedriver is often a supervisor or manager of the black employees to keep the niggers in line.
Thank you, Jeremiah (nice name) for uploading these videos. I am agressively promoting them to all the religious zealots I know, especially when they go into their "when are you coming back to church" mode!
my point is that this is also related to the inability of modern Black folk on thinking, pushing the envelope and investing in themselves. These things are post 1950s psychological issues.
@camara very provoking and thoughtfully craft video. I see why the natives almost were wiped off because they did not have fear. blacks survived because they had & have fear due to past experiences. So, we survived but this is the price fear to became independent, fear to achieve knowledge, fear to dare, fear to became competive outside sport courts. Is that worth: Only if blacks submerge themselves in addiction(religion, illicits drugs, over drinking, over eating, over sex, over spending)
hmm interesting religion is seen a an addiction. that's nothing to argue about. Not controversal at all. I would say the typical black american is scared to try new things and just scoff it off as being white, and if any black person dares to do it then other black people say they're turning white. Anyway some bum in DC subway told me this, and I realized. I'm not the one begging for money. This is why I promote going overseas for black americans they need a break from AMERICA
@lordblazer if you think racism is only in usa or is difficult place for blacks, you may be wrong. I'm brazilian black living in usa & brazil is no better racially than usa, pehaps diferent, but with the same results: blacks in the bottom economical/social. I argue if blacks desire change their situation & became competitive, blacks should change the thinking & behavior. Not only in usa, but worldwide. turning to atheism or other ism will not change predicament if laws of nature is not followed.
I agree 100% I don't promote going overseas because I think racism doesn't exist outside of the borders. It is simply put, I experienced a time period where I didn't have to deal with the paradigm of being in the US dealing with said discrimination. Being treated as a human first and identified as your nationality as a foreigner changes your perspective on things definitely. I would suggest you try to visit Asia. There are places that aren't fond of black ppl
@lordblazer i d love go to asia. however, my big dream are namibia and mozambique. My dream is that one day i able to have any type of business in these places. meanwile, i talk with my 9 year old son about the possibilities that we can create in these places.
that's cool. I hope to eventually make my way to Tanzania. I have a few friend from Mozambique it is definitely a place to check out from what I have heard. I think part of black americans going overseas is for them to see such possibilities and gain those perspectives. This will have an affect on the culture. Like you said earlier it isn't about focussing on the isms.
@lordblazer i ve seen pics of der salaam, tanzania & seems a paradise with beaches and safari. mozambique they speak portuguese, the same language i do speak. also people from mozambique resemble my mom's family physically & that brings such big emotion. i've never met mozambique people, but seen their faces I feel like i'm seeing my late mom & aunties.
most of the people I know from Mozambique live in Japan ironically XD but also had a japanese friend who lived in botswana for a bit, and went to mozambique a few times. a lot of people have told me that Africa is where its at. I have an uncle who travels to tanzania and back etc. You should go man. I'm hoping to go within a year,.
but there are also ppl and places that are indifferent, and if they for instance do not like you for being black there is an underlying respect of being human that you will get that you won't get with a lot of bigots in the US or even Brazil. And it also broadens black ppls perspectives to leave their home country. Anyway this isn't about escaping racism in general you will deal with it in degrees of severity, but you have to lose your mentality as being on da block.
and the only way for black americans to do this is to start traveling abroad, studying abroad, working abroad in larger numbers becoming more active in the global community, and having a number of people that are expats overseas that identify with the culture in the US of being a black american. This has nothing to do with any of the isms, but there is a paradigm in the US that black americans need to be liberated from, and being overseas outside as a civilian does that for you
I emphasis as a civilian because the military does a lot of things to shield even black americans serving from the culture of the country they are stationed in. Through scare tactics (don't drink the water, don't drink the beer, the ppl might backstab you, terrorism, they hate americans), and simply put having a base that is a mini-America. I notice the divide for Americans living in Japan between military and non. The non seem to know how to deal with a change in diet etc.
hey I want to send you a message, but can't because what I want to express is too long for this comment section, and overall your points are very valid, but there is a need for me to clarify my position. Anyway just send me a msg with how I can get what I wrote to you. I don't want to flood the comment section.
This is soooooooo! Powerful all of your videos where positive and you really out did yourself! Why should I Fear god? When you break it down like this it sounds like modern day slavery! I'm 21 but wish I was taught earlier not to fear anything or nobody and had those examples of strong ppl in my life! Keep doing your thing! I love it!
@missnaturalbeauty21 Greetings missnaturalbeauty, I'm just soooo thankful to ppl like Bro. Camara for passing on his gifts and wisdom to young Afrikan's such as yourself who still have time to make a change/difference in this cruel world. Now that you know it's up to you, pass it on to those that you know and love. The Ancestors are with you. Go to WBLR,com click on where it say to listen to the online messages Free 24/365 Be the Blessing you are looking for.
@Thutmose0 Jesus, please, this is what we should rid ourselves of: the superstition. The "ancestors" are not with her; they are dead. We need to get used to the idea of what "dead" means, since we have been trained to think otherwise, just to comfort us and keep us working in the fields without going in mourning.
@kadene2 I don't think anyone can say they Know all their is to know about death to determine what it really means. So I keep my Ancestors alive by Honoring them, so I will not get use to your ending called death, your explaination is slave mentallty in my opinion, try elevating yourself to the higher Overstanding of Life and Spirituality. We Afrikans are spiritual people, and you cannot kill a spirit. Does a rose on a rosebush die when the petals fall but return next spring? Yes the Ancestors!!
@Thutmose0 The roses that return next spring are not the ones that died. They are NEW rosebuds. The old rosebuds are dead, get it? Jesus Christ, this is why blacks are still hewers of wood and carriers of water...superstition and ignorance run deep, and are our shackles...we have chained ourselves to the savannah and refuse to get off. That's why the race demands but can't command respect. Sad.
@kadene2 No same rosebud, do you get it? petals fall back to the earth to re-generate as new rose-buds. Circle of Life through science/ Mother Nature. Which has nothing to do with jesus by the way. Not only jesus is the reason Afrikans are where we are, how about the white slave master mentality that has perpetuated the plantation lifestyle on us removing the shackles from our hands and feet to ours minds and life. The Buy-Bull was written by who? and was for who? but still used against Us SAD!
Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken. THE BIBLE
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over....THE BIBLE
The fear factor was imposed in 2 ways. 1 by the act of castration upon exiting the slave ship meant a death to future life. It was spiritual psychological terrorism. 2, the imposition of xtianity/damnation which was also a psychological terrorism. The Godhead of Jesus and God was a white male image (supporting white/male supremacy).
The popular "jesus was black" discussion was NEVER made until "black is beautiful" in the 1960's via MoorishS.T. and N.O.Islam teachings.
Honestly, I have been that Single, Sanctified, Sista in episode 29, but after watching that episode, it really made me think. I guess I'm saying all that just to say, all of your episodes are extremely thought provoking! And may I say, they are masterfully created! Great work!
Wow! I saw your billboard a month or so ago in Decatur/Atlanta, GA (honestly, I'm not exactly sure where I was, but I know I was in DeKalb County) and it JUMPED OUT and GRABBED my attention!!! I have been hooked ever sinced. I was raised Christian, and my family is very much rooted in the faith. I must say, however, that lately I've grown quite inquisitive about whether or not Christianity has really helped me or my family. I supposed in some ways it has, but in other ways, I just don't know.
Kudos on using these clips to show the slave psychology still present in many of us today.. FEAR of reading and writing and doing anything other than embracing IGNORANCE. Fear of White people.
Hmmmmn, the Torah actually encourages the African Hebrews to be BOLD and of GOOD COURAGE and not to be fearful. The "fear" of the Creator, is translated as FEAR in English, but we know it was not written in English..it was REVERENCE, AW, HONOR for one greater.
@teresadallen If you want to show me up you can easily do that by presenting something close to empirical evidence. My intelligence or alleged attempts to be a good anything is irrelevant. Thanks.
Let me get this straight. Your saying that we can do without this fear in our lives? And that it is ok to turn our back on God and the scriptures? I can understand that we don't need to rely on preachers and the fear of oppression, but from what I am getting from your recent videos is that we don't need God in our lives. I agree that we don't need religion, but everyone needs a personal relationship with God, whether they are black or white. I don't understand what your aim is.
@BlackShogun83 Lets ask the question who's god you are asking about? THe god of the slavemaster or the God of Our Ancient Afrikan Ancestors. If you say but theirs only one god, then who is the God the Negro National Anthem is referring to when he wrote " True to OUR GOD true to OUR NATIVE LAND??? We were not christians before the slavemaster gave us his Buy-Bull now we have his buy-bull and he has our land.
@JoeDixon, I think you missed the whole point. Firstly it was never stated that Blacks actually had a "feat gene"---it was proposed as a hypothesis. Secondly, there is an apprehensiveness present in Blacks that appears to be in greater degrees than most groups due to a culture of fear imposed on them by the dominant group (Whites). The point to the video is that genes that are passed on only if they help us survive better. Yes, Mr. Dixon, being afraid did help Blacks survive.
@camara714 "there is an apprehensiveness present in Blacks that appears to be in greater degrees than most groups due to a culture of fear imposed on them by the dominant group (Whites)." And I reject your hypothesis. If you want to prove that (obviously this is outside the scope of your video) you first have to prove that greater apprehensiveness even exists. I don't think it does. I got your point and I'm telling you the basis of argument isn't proven. If you have empirical data, show it.
it is why I have had many African and CArribean friends say that black americans are more aggressive. They also say the exact same thing you said. This was my experience asking them and this was during my time living in Asia as the africa diaspora networks quite extensively in Asia america, african, european, if you're of african descent you network with them the barriers in the America among black people don't exist outside of America. I wonder why America is so fucked up?
Oh, please. If black people have a 'fear gene' then it's one we share with the vast majority of the human race. Hell, fear is what drives virtually every election in the United States. Fear gave the world The War on Terror for pity sakes. This is so not a black thing.
@JoeDixon I do believe African "Americans" were the only one who were taught to think that their orgin made them inferior, and that they could be murdered about talking about their true heritage, to the point where Africans in America, DNA they have any connection to Africa on the sole basis, imo of fear of whites.
@MrBAllen59 Every none white group, some whites, women and gays were all "taught to think think their origin made them inferior". it's true blacks could be murdered for practicing their heritage. But then, so could Native Americans. And in their case, as they were not seen as property, were murdered. In great numbers. All I'm saying is, black people didn't exist in a vacuum and the idea that any of this relates to DNA is not credible.
@JoeDixon That's just the point the Native Americans are not taught fear, thats why they couldn't be enslaved.Look at whats going on in Mexico right this minute. But as it goes, whites don't respect scared or submisive blacks, they look at them as somewhat of a pet of sorts, example, the guy Cain thats trying to run for president,he is looked at as a coon ,because a few people made offensive remarks about his ancestry, and he massa'd up.
Wow Jeremiah, you keep out doing yourself. We have been living under fear for so long that it has become normality. I am so glad for brothers like you that have help me awaken my mind. I will be posting this video in hopes of helping other brothers n sisters who are still asleep. Hotep
RIGHT ON UR EPISODES GET BETTER AND BETTER I SHOWED THIS TO A CHRISTIAN BROTHER HIS REPSONSE WAS SOME RHETORIC BUT TO BE EXPECTED KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK BROTHER YOU ARE APPRECIATED
Dayam, when i think I saw the most powerful episode of slave sermons...and brutha jeremiah come back with a jewel like this...watch this 2x a day for a few weeks w/ controlled anger & vengence, and fear would be stricken from the heart...
I am more AFRAID of the STRAY CATS IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD than I am of church and jesus christ. RELIGION and JESUS NEEDS A GOOD AZZ WHOOPIN AND DEATH TO ALL CRACKAS AND HONKYS AND THE NEGROS who MARRY DATE and SUPPORT THE CRACKA!!

@camara714 I would say we do have have fear gene, that was built into our pathology from slavery.

@camara714
it is why I have had many African and CArribean friends say that black americans are more aggressive.

MrBAllen59 4 months ago
@MrBAllen59 Every none white group, some whites, women and gays were all "taught to think think their origin made them inferior". it's true blacks could be murdered for practicing their heritage. But then, so could Native Americans. And in their case, as they were not seen as property, were murdered. In great numbers. All I'm saying is, black people didn't exist in a vacuum and the idea that any of this relates to DNA is not credible.
JoeDixon 4 months ago
@JoeDixon That's just the point the Native Americans are not taught fear, thats why they couldn't be enslaved.Look at whats going on in Mexico right this minute. But as it goes, whites don't respect scared or submisive blacks, they look at them as somewhat of a pet of sorts, example, the guy Cain thats trying to run for president,he is looked at as a coon ,because a few people made offensive remarks about his ancestry, and he massa'd up.
