Actually the Bible was written by quiet a few different people who never saw each other to "compare" stories. ALSO, the bible tells us that God has cast our sins from us as far as the east is from the west (very specifically)...God ordained that, because it is true, as you say, that the Bible writers believed the earth was flat...if they had written "north from the south" it wouldn't go very far, because you can only go so far north.

@zakyzeek You can not believe in religion and still think 'something' is out there, but an atheist usually doesn't believe in any sort of supernatural being. Atheism is really nothing more than just not believing/accepting the supernatural when it comes to how the universe began or whatever. Although I don't think many atheists think about a deistic creator much, they usually just decide they don't believe in religion and that's it.

@zakyzeek sure, there is something that made all of this, it's called science. study it. there is a reason animals cannot live on the other planets except earth. the position of earth receives just enough heat to sustain life. water won't be boiling hot or freezing cold. water creates life, H2O, it's also OXYGEN. everything was particles and evolution allowed the existence of us. humans been around just some thousand years. dinosaurs, millions. imagine how much longer we have till we evolve.

@zakyzeek yeah, this is all REAL. saying that, how can you believe that GOD is real when you have no physical evidence? religion is religion because of i.e. the bible. which was written by people who believed the earth was flat. well is the earth flat? how could we have discovered that without science? at least with sci, theories are just theories but are our leads to answers. not like scientists say "believe in our theories or burn in hell if you don't" scientists gave us answers not god.

@zakyzeek who knows exactly how all this started. no definite way of getting the real answers since it all happened already. we can't travel back in time. believing in God is just finding an end to your reasoning. like you, you want to know HOW everything began. believing that god did all this is making you believe you have THE answer to a question that really is impossible to solve for sure.

@MsMusic1997 No, belief in God/Jesus/Satan/etc., is a religious belief. Christianity is a religion, and those who try to say it's not, I don't quite get their motivation. Christianity puts the word 'organized' in organized religion better than any other religion, just because of all it's different denominations (which some people sometimes mistaken as being actually different religions overall) and the fact that it has an entire governing body (Catholic Church) enforcing it's 'rules.'

@KevinLockard23: To "not be religious" means not to practice specific laws, rules, traditions as is customary by the religion you were born into. So since Mila was born to Jewish parents, it means she has lived not practicing specific dietary laws, traditions (shabbat) etc. as very religious Jews do. This in no way means Mila doesn't believe in G-d. She said, "I have faith". This means she has A faith. Faith means she believes in something. This means she's not an Atheist.

@thnelement It is logic. Religion mean that you believe in a dogma which includes a supreme being. Having faith means believing something without evidence, does not have to be religion. No religion= no god= Atheism+ faith= Agnostic but you can be agnostic and atheistic at the same time, which she clearly is.
