very nice collection, im just getting started i recently purchased a spyderco stretch. Next will be a pacific salt SE for kayak fishing and i also want a tenacious then i will see where i go from there i want to try other brands as well like benchmade griptilian. Im fairly sure the shepsfoot design is used on the salt so you dont punchture your inflatable boat if your on one and its also used on rescue blades to avoid stabbing the person your rescuing

Nice collection, CB. I think Spyderco is an awesome knife company, but a little pricey, but I'm pleased they have the value folders (Byrd series, Spyderco Ambitious/Persistence/Tenaciou­s/Resilience line) that work great as well.

I'm sure the Byrd Series, A/P/T/R line, and the Endura & Delica series sells like hotcakes, because they are around $70 and under, but all the other Spydercos, you're looking $85+ :/

@dr0c3 Tenacious ($30), Delica 4 FFG (preffered) or Delica 4 ($50-60), or if u wanna spend alot consider a Sage 1 ($110) I just got my Sage 1 in the mail and its AMAZING!!! Hope I helped

@rwpock The ZDP steel stays sharp for a very long time. I also, do not have any rust on the blade, but I would never use it when salt water fishing. That's why I have the H-1 steel by Spyderco. It will never rust.

How do the FRN handles compare to the G-10? I have a tenacious and persistence (resilience coming soon :D) with the G-10, and I feel that they are adequately comfortable. I have never held one of the FRN handled knives, but they look somewhat 'cheap' on video. Which one is generally preferred over the other?

@VengeanceIV Great question! Yes the FRN is not as strong as the G-10, but in some cases the FRN is great on a blade. I will try and make a comparison video one day. FRN is much better than just plain ole' plastic.

@VengeanceIV My take on FRN vs. G-10 is that some people irrationally dislike FRN because it looks like "plastic". To them, it must be crap. The same way people slammed "plastic" Glock handguns and distrusted them before, you know, a huge number of military and police agencies worldwide beat the hell out of them for 30 years and found them the best guns ever. BTW, what is harder is also more brittle.

i can slice with serrations of the right pattern like a straight edge. no hang ups or tears or extra effort just slice. i use DMT and a strop. how is the spyderedge i like thin gerber leatherman benchmade serrations and kershaws barrage and leek and nice. ka bars dont work well when theyre overly wide, theyre too deep. i wanted to get a fully serrated spyderco do you think theyre a good pattern?

@1987jkilla Bad idea, you'll get dull serrations just as I did with my VG10 Delica, You'd better get a small Lansky for Spyderco serrations and ypu'll be able to sharpen one after one all the serrations, individually. If you treat a serrated edge as if it was a plain one you will damage the serrations, trust on me!

@1987jkilla To say it in a strange way, you'd better sharp the "valleys", not the "hills", Those "hills" will be acute. sharpening between them. No matter what kind of rode you use, is the way you use them. My serrated Endura and Delica are way better now with this method.

i like the Endura 3 better than the 4 personally. its lighter and i like the handle shape more. (mine is modded with a Boye dent ground into the lockbar, an adjustable pivot and a reground/resharpened blade).

Very nice knife! If I were a police officer I wouldn't carry it on duty, I would carry the Military or the Para before the Police. Still a nice knife, just really heavy.

Maybe the Police with G-10 is better, but I don't own that one yet.

I just got the spyderco manix mini, the one that has been discontinued, theres like 2 or 3 more left at the store where i got it, its got g-10 scales S30V full flat ground blade with a lock back lock on it, i love it it locks up like a bank vault and its like a tank , its heavy and strong, other than that great video, and i was also disappointed in my endura too =\ took it back and payed a little extra to get the manix lol.
