In addition to endangering other drivers and yourself, when a tornado crosses a bridge, under the bridge can create a wind tunnel and suck you out, throwing you around and ultimately killing you.

@StormChaseChicago Just had a big debate with some other storm chasers in Ontario over this. I think the census reached was you're pretty much screwed when it's a violent tornado. Could send you some cut and pastes of the arguement

It's really not good that people still take shelter under overpasses.  We just missed watching something horrible happen in this video.

NOAA really needs to get the word out about the danger of taking shelter under overpasses.

This is the first time I have seen this video. Awesome views on that tornado. I saw a tornado myself on this day, but I didn't get to see this one in Quinter. great video.

LOL It must have been winds with about 180 = 210mph+

Since it was an EF4 windspeeds are estimated to ave been between 166 and 200 mph. Though it could have been stronger in open fields.
