How to Make individual Sprites

..I want to create a character thats from my own anime, her name called Mizuna. :/

ok, but how do you make a sprite with no sprite sheet available? do we have to draw like 100 pictures of that character with different move? that gotta be an easy way for that, right? i want to create a character from an anime. but no sprite sheet for that character.
