i'm curious, the 1W transimitter i got gets really really hot when not flying, what about your 3w booster thing does it get hot as well? thanks for nice vid!
poland is not germany. and... btw i don't think that any cop would give a shit.... as long as you don't stay on site for more than a hour you won't do a big harm. 433mhz is used by radio amateurs and loads of other ism users.
I like your OSD...I got a DOSD+ which is cheaper but it has no IMU, which I freakin realized after I got it...also the displays are not so clear and they are positioned too close to the edge of the screen , where I got some distortion in my fatshark gogs...Nice vid m8.keep it up
No, actually I'm using separate batteries for motors and video system. In the OSD you can actually see two separate voltage indicator for those batteries.
was the software coded by you? and if so in what language, which OS are you using? if any at all.
The electrical equipment, did you build it? or did you have to write any drivers at all?
if you wrote the software, i would appreciate it if you could share your code so i can review it. It would really help for a future project i have in mind. If not then i understand. i just wanna know how you managed to get Pitch/Bank Attitude, Airspeed, Magnetic direction and Altitude.
TX antenna is standard whip from Thomas mounted on a Booster and 3m wooden stick. Video RX antennas consist of 900mhz patch antenna from rangevideo and a large 21-element Yagi GSM antenna that you can buy at dipolnet. My TwinStar is really heavy with the big battery that I am using - around 1900g.
Wow, what antennas does your ground station consist of (make/model and where to buy) and what antenna does your FPV TX use? I need my FPV system to get that much range! Also how much does your plane weight?
Thanks. Yes, I certainly over-discharged the battery - it doesn't mind that however and is still fine. I am playing with different placements of camera - the focus is not a problem as I'm using a manual focus camera, but the nose is limiting the field of view too much at this video, which doesn't let you look down too much.

I notice you have som interferance. Du you use the same battery for FPV system and the aircraft? This might cause this.

You do realize that using 900MHz equipment is illegal in EU ? This band is assigned to GSM and those are the stripes that are visible in the video.
cooldemo 1 year ago
@cooldemo in other countries its not illegal
jampop77 1 year ago
@jampop77 900MHz band is only legal in ITU region 2 (Americas, Greenland and some of the eastern Pacific Islands (wikipedia))

nice..
looks like you need to set the camera up higher so it doesnt focus on the nose...
did you kill the battery..I noticed it went below 10v...I did that and one cell went dead..40 bucks gone..!
how u like the rvosd..was thinking of getting one..I have a eagle tree now and am buliding a bigger glider ....
again nice!

@RocketJoe1 How do you like your Eagle Tree? I am trying to decide whether I should get the eagle tree unit or the RVOSD.
