Look at the trees and sky and say God doesn't exist. Hmmm. Yep, I'm sure that our early ancestors did just that. And that is why they ended up worshipping that great yellow ball that appears every morning (except only ocassionally seen here in Scotland). And when you think about that, worshipping the sun, which we are completely dependent on, is actually more logical than worshipping the Judeo/Christian/Muslim God. @eleminatus Well, there's been many, my grandma had open heart surgery and died 3 times while on the operating table. Yes, I know, Doctors were the ones working on her, but even they said she should have been dead. It was God completely. He has changed my dad completely. Since we've been going to church as a family, my dad has quit drinking and smoking, which is only something that could have been done with God's help. He didn't have to go through any AA courses or where patches, he just prayed.

I'd rather people focus on being and doing good for its own sake, not because of some belief that a deity of some kind will throw them in some Hell for "sinning." I'd say finding harmony with the rest of humanity is FAR more important than following rigid, outdated "holy" books.

And that is why they ended up worshipping that great yellow ball that appears every morning (except only ocassionally seen here in Scotland). And when you think about that, worshipping the sun, which we are completely dependent on, is actually more logical than worshipping the Judeo/Christian/Muslim God. And as for trees, the green man is the oldest folklore figure in human history, which goes way back to nature worship and now has many guises. Even Father Christmas was derived from him. Some of history's most intelligent people have believed in God, e.g. the great philosopher Plato, the king of reason and critical thinking Immanuel Kant, the man who discovered the theory of gravity Isaac Newton, and the man who discovered the theory of relativity Albert Einstein.

I will admit, some Christians can be ignorant and say these things. But the truth is what's the big deal in trying Jesus. if you do you'll have nothing to lose, but you'll have everything to gain. Let's say you are right and God does not exist, when you die that will be the end anyway, but, if GOD does exist and you die and you believe in him you get HEAVEN as your reward and you'll live forever, and see all your loved ones if they knew Christ here on earth. @eleminatus Well, there's been many, my grandma had open heart surgery and died 3 times while on the operating table. Yes, I know, Doctors were the ones working on her, but even they said she should have been dead. It was God completely. He has changed my dad completely. Since we've been going to church as a family, my dad has quit drinking and smoking, which is only something that could have been done with God's help. He didn't have to go through any AA courses or where patches, he just prayed.

@all theist: first off when some one says atheist should leave theist alone and keep our views to our selves because christens never try to influence anything is full of shit. As an atheists (in my state) I am not aloud to hold public off because of laws restricting anyone who will not openly admit to a god. Why should my rights be trampled on by christians? When all scientific evidence supports the theory god dose not exist!

i was watching a morning show when they had a phycic and asked her to find a missing girl on air.so she did and said the girl was dead and her body was in a drain pipe but the police had already looked in all the drains in the neiborhood but the parents begged them to again and when they did they searched a bit futher into a drain and she was their.so unless the phycic killed her and hid her body or is the luckiest person alivei would consider that proof that their is such a thing as a soul

Why do people keep posting videos fueling an online war between Christians and Athiests? I'm a Christian but I'm also a theistic evolutionist. I believe in all laws of physics and evolution and everything. I see no contradiction between Science and Christianity because science explains the how or the process of things while Christianity explains the why or the beginning of things. Where science does not have answers religion does and vice versa.

To the common religion is true, to the wise it is a joke, to the rulers it is a tool. @andrewkeen24 I understand your viewpoint however it is very unpersuasive when a persuader claims that another person's belief is a scam and by believing in it makes me unwise. Disagreeing with the athiest point of view does not make an individual irrational. Now I admit some Christians are bad representatives of the faith primarily because they do not articulate their viewpoints while taking into account differing views but I ask that you at least show individuals with different ideas respect.

I believe that you are more of a free individual when you are free from irrational beliefs put into your head during your upbringing. You may think thats it's harsh to point out the realities of organised religion, but to me, if i convert just one person to the side of reason i've helped that person.
