you obviously have not learned the facts about your arguement. The oil you want to drill for off shore won't drop the price of oil. That oil would take several years to actually get to and by the time it's refined it will come onto the market (supply) in roughly ten years. Look now the price of gas has dropped and we haven't drilled off shore. Damn those democrats really want to screw our country over don't they you loud borish prick.

I used the words relatively peaceful in comparison to the state of the country since the US invasion, over a million Iraqi's have been killed and a million more have fled the country, according to the UN the country is on the brink of a civil war. Before the Iraq war the country was peacful even though it was ruled by a cruel dictator who carried out attrocities, yes, but Iraq now is far worse off. Al-queda were not operating in Iraq before the invasion and now they are very strong in Iraq.

It's a superficial decline in price -- it won't last, because it's well known that drilling now won't change the overall picture of oil distribution until 2030, and even then it won't change it enough to solve our energy crisis.
But you're missing the larger point. Which is that gas prices *should* be high. Our prices have been artificially low for decades. If you're fiscally conservative, you should know better than to advocate artificially low prices. It hurts the economy in the long run.

Ha man I don't mean to make things worse for you but do you know that science students are actively discouraged from becoming geologist geophysicist and engineers to work for petroleum exploration companies by the universities pressured by left wing nuts. This wouldn't be so bad if the average age of Geologist in the oil industry wasn't 50! I am one and there is no one my age in this industry dude and everyone above me is getting ready to retire.

Conventional war is over that's what he's talking about, no more enemy in uniforms, no more republican guards, no more enemy tanks and jets. So the military won the conventional war and now it's just terrorism going on in Iraq which all settled down now too and even so the troops still kicked their asses.

We haven't been in a conventional war since Korea. I meen if thats the case we never were in a war in Iraq, Afganistan, even as far back as Vietnam.
Can we really beleive you after you say the terrorism has settled down to? Thats why atleast 3 times a week one my local news I hear about a hometown soldier thats died.

Gulf War I + Gulf War II and Kosovo were conventional wars i don't get your point about Vietnam not being a conventional war.
The violence in Iraq has settled down but doesn't mean the danger is over that's the problem when you have to deal with a invisible enemy you have no diplomatic relations to a invisible threat. The conventional war is over (dealing with their tanks, jets and uniformed soldiers) now it's mostly peace keeping and protecting the citizens but there still is danger.
