I loved Alone in the Dark, I liked Bloodrayne 1 & 2, I LOVED POSTAL, I loved Tunnel Rats, SEED disturbed me... (Didn't like House of the Dead... Name of the King was half and half.)

And Uwe Boll is a LEGEND for being able to do this.

He's actually a pretty intelligent guy if you read his interviews with Movieset. If you watch them you would understand his frustration over how difficult it is for good films in the indie sector to make it into the mainstream because of lack of Hollywood funding/advertising.

It doesn't make his angry outlash against his detractors really justified, but it does make it quite understandable. Gamers can be total babies. Honestly, what the hell do you expect from a House of the Dead movie?

the first time i watch uwe boll's movie was when i was in hk ... i was going through a great summer holiday back there... and then i was like "oh cool house of the dead movie lets see"

then it turns into a fucking island movie and the house hardly had anything to do with it...

he could AT LEAST stay true to the whole story + characters thing, but he had to redo it instead ... which made me shat in my pants out of terrible eye rape

Actually Uwe only directed the movie. The whole island/characters thing was Mark Altman's wrongdoing.

After HotD he made sure to have his input, and wrote POSTAL himself. There's stuff you can read about the writer complaining about Uwe's complaining and getting stuff changed. The writer wanted a detective drama, Ed Carnby with a backstory (which, in my opinion, would be boring) and Uwe wanted Carnby to be mysterious, and to have more excitement in there. I think the writer was aiming for AitD1 while Uwe was aiming for what he'd seen of the work in progress AitD5 (which only just got released).

house of the dead video game had a cool story. uwe boll turned it into zombie island. uwe boll can't make movies he just needs to face it.
