  • hmm the guy that eastman is talking about, is it the late Carl Macek?

  • thats so cool to know he had input on TMNT.

he also knew about the 2011 movie before it was officially announced,(in detail)but nobody believed him cause of the legal shit.

lairds cool and doesnt care really.

  • thanx for posting

  • that is cool

  • Eastman reminds me of kirk hammett..

  • Eastman just sold his creative control to Laird. He still retains royalties to merchandising and what not. Basically he stills earns money from TMNT, but cannot do anything creative with it.

  • That's been the case since 2000 but I believe the full buyout last year means that he makes no more money from Mirage's TMNT license.

He does and always has however the right to do stuff with the work he was a creator of, hence him being able to put out the the artobiography, republishing Bodycount and some collected works he's putting out soon.

  • @AgustinAZ So anything he created prior to his selling of creative control is still in play? Cool.

  • No, he did NOT!

  • Eastman sold his share to Laird in, I think, 1999.

  • no he didnt

  • You're right, he actually sold his share in 2000, except for a small continuing income participation and some rights. Laird didn't buy him out completely until 2008.

  • YOU KNOW KEVIN AND JULIE?

  • keven and i spent many hours at his penthouse in Northampton .. Great guy..heart of gold

  • didnt he sell all his TMNT stuff for a million bucks? i remember seeing that on the heavy metal site like.. 3 yers ago i think?
