*Sigh* This song and "Someone Else's Story" are my favorites from this musical. (And I've always believed that SES should be sung by Svetlana. I know people have complained that Idina didn't sing it, but it really fits Svetlana's character better - trapped in what is essentially a loveless marriage.)

Anyway, Josh's voice is amazing, as always! I saw him live during his "Awake" tour (the concert that was filmed for the DVD), and he blew me away! I've always known he's good, but dang! :-D

The girl who sang with him is Aoife Mulholland. She's Irish and was on the BBC Reality show, "How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?" Which was the audition process to find the next Maria Von Trapp in "The Sound Of Music" a few years back.

No. It was a concert of Chess. He performed twice. It was supposed to be a one night only but the tickets were so quickly sold out that they decided to do another night. I was lucky to be at both of them!

This is better than the first Groban version, but still I think the "refrain" is a bit too fast, words get blurred with echo. Tommy K was better, but Groban does a good job. This isn't an easy song to sing.

Hm. I must say I prefer Tommy Körberg's version, given that his voice is much stronger and the part was written for him... but Josh is doing good as well. I've seen much worse versions.

The singing is pretty good, not as good as the original but it's hard to beat that. I think he's over acting a bit . . . He uses his arms too much. The actions he uses are too literal to the words and it kind of ruins the suspension of disbelief. That could be blamed on the director though. Thanks for the recording, I heard that Groban played Anatoly and I always wondered how he did, so thanks.
