@nanthil I actually really like, AAL and periphery, and I'm glad to I read the rest of your comment or I would have misunderstood lol. BtBaM still comes out on top.
Between The Buried And Me have really grown from their first album, they have set their own goals and it is obviously they love music. Its hard to find a great band that can experience a variety of sounds and mold them into a master piece, BTBAM definitely has done so. Not only have they tapped into their musical talent, but they have soared above expectation from a average metal band. They've also made their own experience in metal history, they brought a new taste to music. So beautiful.
I wish they wrote more songs like this, were it isn't 5 minutes of death metal with polka, jazz, classic rock reminiscent breaks and instead a relaxing beautiful piece such as this or desert of song

@RobTheWhiteZombie No, I love this band to death and have all their albums, I just wish that they would create some softer songs focusing less on the metal aspect and more on jazzier, or softer music on the next album(or the reverse, an album more like the Silent Circus)
@XruinsskashowsX I understand that. They're gonna do what they're gonna do, though. I'm sure there are other bands that have what you're looking for, I don't know which, though. . .
This song takes one for a ride every time that is beyond this world starting at 1:43 and leads to some distant place I've only been once or twice in my life.
their knowledge of music spanning from simple music like bluegrass to polka to more complex music like what's considered "mathcore" is stark genius to me they're unlike a lot of bands. not the greatest ever, but different and cohesive. and that is very good.
@mizuhokazami1 Progressive contemporary death metal is what they label themselves. Also, even though I kind of like BLM, they write pretty standard death metal which is nowhere as creative, or near the sheer musical calibur of this music. I can honestly say that no other band out there sounds like BtBaM as a whole.
@Ebenezershnezer81 It's called progressive for a reason, there isn't always need for screaming and harsh music. It changes around, has variety. This is also an introduction piece it's supposed to be gentle. It almost seems like he's warming up his vocal chords before starting to sing, as this and the obfuscation are partner pieces.
@stevealiscious1 What an amazing comment. EVERY band you just named is on of my favorites. If you included Opeth in the list, I wouldve found you and given you a million dollars.
