  • Best show-starter ever.

  • @Tinashowa best life-starter ever.

  • 1:42 shit just got real

  • i kinda picture listening to this when i play a game like fallout

  • I just saw them last night, they played this unbelievably well. Really suspenseful

  • @yuffienp1 at the tla? It was amazing!

  • @timc0821 That's where I saw them, amazing show!

  • @timc0821 No, northern lights

  • obsessed

  • @Jellybeantiger Get out of here. They are great musicians.

  • @mickzero3 Get out of here; they are great musicians. *

  • @Jellybeantiger da fuck?

  • @Jellybeantiger you're lost, and i'm okay with that.

  • @Jellybeantiger you just showed the entire world that you don't know anything about music theory. outstanding

  • This is waaaaaaaay better than any of the stuff on their past relases, at least in my opinion.

  • @VladFerdinand1 Idk, man... Colors!!!!!!!!

  • So good...... up, just came.

  • God damn beautiful song.

  • If you don't enjoy this band, you don't deserve ears.

  • trying listening this one back to back with white walls... rulz

  • Damn I'm loving these comments.... Seems people here know what the art of music is!..

  • I've got to say, this is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard.

  • This is great stuff, but if you're looking for more, why aren't you listening to even better music like Bela Fleck, Victor Wooten, etc?

  • @TheEasternStandard There's better music then BtBaM? Sir I am incredulous

  • @094176 Painted in exile

    the contortionist

    Animals as Leaders

    Periphery.

Lets be honest, noone is BETTER than BTBAM, they can try though.

  • @nanthil I actually really like, AAL and periphery, and I'm glad to I read the rest of your comment or I would have misunderstood lol. BtBaM still comes out on top.

  • @094176 yeah I really like all of those bands. :) And the new cynic is pretty baller too

  • Musical Genius. SInging the chorus of Obfuscation. The album is to be played in a cycle, as the begining of Mirrors is the end of obfuscation.

  • love these guys. i wish they still played this live

  • @a7xeternal I saw them last Tuesday with Animals as Leaders, and I can confirm they played this :) and then straight into Obfuscation of course!

  • @FallingGrey I really hope they play it on their American tour! the setlist for their recent shows has been killer. i hope they dont change it.

  • This aint my type of music but my friend told me to check this out. And it is unique. I like it!

  • 2 people don't like this song :(

  • Between The Buried And Me have really grown from their first album, they have set their own goals and it is obviously they love music. Its hard to find a great band that can experience a variety of sounds and mold them into a master piece, BTBAM definitely has done so. Not only have they tapped into their musical talent, but they have soared above expectation from a average metal band. They've also made their own experience in metal history, they brought a new taste to music. So beautiful.

  • I wish they wrote more songs like this, were it isn't 5 minutes of death metal with polka, jazz, classic rock reminiscent breaks and instead a relaxing beautiful piece such as this or desert of song

  • I wish they wrote more songs like this, were it isn't 5 minutes of death metal with polka, jazz, classic rock reminiscent breaks and instead a relaxing beautiful piece such as this or desert of song

  • @XruinsskashowsX It's called Prog. If you don't like it, then this is really not the band for you.

  • @RobTheWhiteZombie No, I love this band to death and have all their albums, I just wish that they would create some softer songs focusing less on the metal aspect and more on jazzier, or softer music on the next album(or the reverse, an album more like the Silent Circus)

  • @XruinsskashowsX I understand that. They're gonna do what they're gonna do, though. I'm sure there are other bands that have what you're looking for, I don't know which, though. . .

  • the sounds on the background at the beginning remind me of Pink Floyd..

  • this sounds so relaxing so good... the lyrics really feel like someone who has been left back... forgoten

  • I've been listening to btbam for years and still love them more everytime I hear them.

    It's ridiculous.

  • This song takes one for a ride every time that is beyond this world starting at 1:43 and leads to some distant place I've only been once or twice in my life.

  • @Joeurban1991 Reminds me of just chilling at the beach at around 3am just not worrying about anything.

  • @A1LTOBEG0DLY16 RIght on. That sounds pretty chill for sure.

  • It would be so sweet if BTBAM released an album similar to this.

  • @SOTWCFX Listen to Thomas Giles solo stuff.

  • their knowledge of music spanning from simple music like bluegrass to polka to more complex music like what's considered "mathcore" is stark genius to me they're unlike a lot of bands. not the greatest ever, but different and cohesive. and that is very good.

  • exelent btb&m

  • This song kinda reminds me of "Laser Speed"

  • SLAPPIN DA BEASS MON

  • so what genre are these guys officially. and no 420 these guys are not the greatest band of the 2st century that would be the black dahlia murder

  • @mizuhokazami1 Progressive contemporary death metal is what they label themselves. Also, even though I kind of like BLM, they write pretty standard death metal which is nowhere as creative, or near the sheer musical calibur of this music. I can honestly say that no other band out there sounds like BtBaM as a whole.

  • fuck protest the hero, btbam is amazing and should never be compared to that

  • Can anyone suggest me songs similar to this one..?Of other bands also but similar songs..

  • @Sarvagya4 opeth the deliverance album is mellow like this, cynic re-traced ep. both bands are great

  • @Sarvagya4 The Ocean has some similar songs on their album Precambrian.

  • @Sarvagya4 Desert of song by this band is good

  • One person is a dungus and accidentally clicked the "unlike" button.

  • @mickzero3 2 dungus' exist now.

  • @mickzero3 Dr. Steve Brule!

  • @UNClax4evr Yeah, haha. I love Tim and Eric.

  • . . . . .WHERE'S THE SCREAMING?!?!?!?

  • @Ebenezershnezer81 Who needs screaming when you have excellent music as this?

  • @Ebenezershnezer81 It's called progressive for a reason, there isn't always need for screaming and harsh music. It changes around, has variety. This is also an introduction piece it's supposed to be gentle. It almost seems like he's warming up his vocal chords before starting to sing, as this and the obfuscation are partner pieces.

  • Best bands at the moment: Dream Theater, Opeth, Porcupine Tree & Between the Buried and Me...

  • @spartanxdrummer You forgot Obscura! :P

  • @spartanxdrummer CYNIC as well hahaha

  • this is the most beautiful song i have ever heard from a metal band

  • I really like this album. I think it's freaking amazing. But they didn't do nearly as much as for experimenting as with Colors.

  • @Dancolehawk really? I thought that colors was a little more conservative of an album. Either way, both amazing albums.

  • it sounds like their hand and voices were blessed by the creator

  • btbam and dream theater are the best progreseve metal bands ever

  • when i listen to this song i feel like im sinking into my couch....then obsfunction comes on and i get fucking hype......

  • Starting at 1:42 when it changes, its amazing. Can anyone tip me off on some bands that have a sound similar to that?

  • @rakoflako1 Not many. The drums are very prog/post-rockish. Porcupine Tree, Riverside, some softer Dream Theater and Cynic sound kinda simillar.

  • @stevealiscious1 What an amazing comment. EVERY band you just named is on of my favorites. If you included Opeth in the list, I wouldve found you and given you a million dollars.

  • @rakoflako1 Maybe you could check out the danish gruop, Mimas. Find them on MySpace. ;)

  • i just saw their cd release party this past weekend. so metal.

  • if i dont love this band so much!

  • btbam is the greatest metal band of the 21st century

  • Amen.

    Protest the Hero too!

  • HELL YES

  • @Makyniyo check out the contortionist

  • @420Galactus check out the contortionist

  • @420Galactus *ahem* Cynic

  • Comment removed

  • @420Galactus i would even consider saying that they are one of the greatest metal bands ever!

  • @420Galactus Not to mention progressive band

  • Holy shit.
