Your firmware must be 5.50 or lower in able to run this update coz if its higher than 5.50 it wont allow u to run the update, Only Pandora will work for u if ur firmware is higher than 5.50.

For everybody who is messing up make sure you are on b2 before you do this. Make sure you put the 550 pbp file in the root of your mem stick and go to recovery menue and change it to m33 driver

not likely at all that your psp would brick ive had cfw on mine for a while with no problems. its very useful to play games without disks. kind of difficult to figure out how to do it if you dont already know though.

Dude it happened to me to all u need to do is go to the gen recovery meanu if its off hold R and look for where the Flash0,1,2,3 are it says on the bottom to reset to flask 1click it and it tells u waht to do i did it and my iso and umd games all work perfectlly. Hope i helped u mand

Ok so I updated to Gen C, but it didn't start up. So I did my recovery and went back to M33-4, then I updated to M33-6. But for some reason I can't go back to Gen B. Everytime I go to update it. It tells me to give it a moment to think, but then it goes back my psp main menu and when I go to check if it updated. It still tells me its a M33-6. This is weird... What do I do?

If anyone is trying to update to GEN-D and you hit a black screen with psp power green, remove the update folder and the 550.PBP and update to GEN-B2 first...then put the 550.PBP file back on root and update folder in PSP/GAME and run GEN-D...it will run then for sure.

Question: I have CFW 5.50 Gen-D2 and popsloader 500. I been trying for 2 days to get Parasite eve 2 on my psp. I have several other psx games on it that run fine but I cant for some reason get PE2 to play. It gets stuck at at the "squaresoft" logo if I run the game with no pops, and If i try any pops it kicks me back to the main menu with a failure message . I even tried switching the game ID to SLPS02480 and SLPS00025. It still freezes and/or wont come up. Do you know what I need to do ?

in my opinion, 5.00 m33-6 is much better than gen. i don't know what type of experiences others have had with gen, but i installed gen-d2 yesterday and found out that i could no longer uses inftrastructure mode to play multiplayer.

its basically useless if u want to play multiplayer. i can see now why people are downgrading from gen

For those that freeze at the clock because they had a custom theme go to recovery mode then go to Advanced then go to format flash1 and reset settings.

I did this and it fixed the problem.Hope this helps you who have the same problem.

I did it just two days ago, updating from m33 to GEN-A, to GEN-B and B2, then straight to GEN-D. Just don't have a custom theme set (set it to classic, for the better) unless you want a brick, and back up everything, because afterwards it's best to format your memory stick (but not nessesary).
