*****Imprisoned Iranian christian pastor Youcef Nadarkhani is being sentenced to death in Iran for practicing christianity. He has been given the choice of publicly denouncing Christianity and returning to Islam or the death penalty. Please spread the word. Lets save this guy and put international pressure on Iran.*****
Ed didn't want to be pigeonholed as a black reporter...but he wanted to do all the civil rights stories ?? Only Lesley Stahl can understand that statement.
a true pioneer. I hope he knew he was this appreciated before he left this world. it's human error to not let ppl know how much they mean BEFORE they close their eyes forever.
i'm surprised to hear that news. '60 minutes' was also broadcast in japan until about two years ago, so many people in japan should know him and his cleverness...
I enjoyed that guy very much and I have not been alive to see him much, but when I would watch I really thought he did an excellent job. I will miss him.
With staple people like Ed Bradley dying and others retiring (like the Price is Right guy), it really makes me feel like I'm getting old and nothing will ever be the same.
Ed Bradley will be missed. He is of the same caliber as Edward R Murrow, Peter Jennings and numerous other reporters both living and dead - Hope to see a tribute in his honor very soon CBS. My condolences & prayers to his family. LPHK -
Yes, hard to believe any of these 60 minutes won't be around anymore, its been a part of our lives for soooo long. What a great show. You'll be missed Ed!
I somehow feel that too little was said....Theres so much more. I'm kind of young but I know that he was pretty cool, I liked listening to him with my dad every sunday when I was small.
I really respected Ed Bradley... I just found it about his passing. I don't even know how he died. He was a pleasure to listen to. I though he was the epitome of "cool" (How many 60 y/o guys can pull off wearing a diamond earring?), and he just I absolutely loved the way he opened up his interviewees. I will miss him.
Hi, thanks for uploading this ... I was stunned when I saw it. I did not know Ed had passed. He was one of my favorite reporters and I am sad he is gone. May he rest in peace. Abie gesundt.
rare person you could look straight in his eye and not be afraid your energy will be sucked, opposite you feel you are getting more energy from him... he will come back in a new born baby, just wait...
He never made waves. You wouldn't dream of hearing anything deragatory or controversial about him. But when he left us you knew you had lost someone special. Peace Ed.
I will definitely miss him . He was the best reporter of his 60 minutes . Nobody can compare to the excellence to his unique character he gave to the world of journalism .
R.I.P - We will always have a special part in our hearts for you .
As Steve Kroft said on Larry King thursday night...Ed Bradley was a GIANT...as a man and as journalist; I thoroughly enjoyed how he treated his subjects, whether it was a comedic turn with Muhammed Ali or uncovering those who murdered Emmit Till...He WAS cool.
I wonder if we will have a journalist like him again. (?= Do the current media choices allow for someone like this man to reach the audience that he did? I'm doubtful.)
My father died from Leukemia, a horrible cancer because it is a cancer of the blood and no surgery can help. My father was lifting wieghts and looking fine a month before his death when the cancer came back.
Top reporter. Will miss him too. I'm a Republican and I know this man was a Democrat and bit bias but I liked watching his stories. Everyone is bias one side or the other. Some just don't admit it.
He was an inspiration and will remain so for his ability to listen to those he interviewed..a departure from the screaming bloviating talking heads on most mass media today. peace Mr. Bradley
My whole family sat down and watched Ed Bradley, on his very first night on 60 Minutes. My Father wanted to make sure when didn't miss it, he thought it was important to see positve people that looked like us was on T.V. He loved him, and I hope they get to meet in Heaven, they can talk about Jazz and what it was like to sit so close to Lena Horne. I watched him my whole life, every Sunday....it just won't be the same without him.
An awesome journalist. More importantly, an exceptional human being. I admire him, as do many. I will miss him. Condolences to his family and friends.
This really makes me sad. I've been a faithful fan of 60 minutes since I was 14(2000). Then when Mike Wallace quit I realized that these guys are near the end of their careers and I better cherish every second of air time they get... and I did. But still, Ed Bradley's death was like a punch in the gut. I loved his reports... he will be missed.
When I first heard of this I thought he was a producer for 60 minutes. But when CBS showed his picture I was shocked he was dead. He interviewed Stephen Colbert when Stephen started his own show: "The Colbert Report". It's sad that now he's gone.
