Agree Vidstrategies. Roy tells us it's OK for guys to have intense emotions, & reminds us they can be hurt & cry, & the hurt does not go away. Although we've made progress, our culture still teaches boys such behavior is unmanly. I would suggest that therein lies the explanation for a lot of our problems. Roy is a role model for us all, men in particular. Vulnerability guys. Let it happen. You'll like it. If you feel an emotion-- express it. Repression is a dead end street.
@videostrategies i'm sure any that has ever utter the sentence chick dig or worse chicks totally dig struggles to get a shag, try talking less american you'll get there lad
One of the amazing things about Roy, as this song clearly shows, was his ability to convey such vulnerability and deeply felt emotions without sounding "weak." That might sound sexist, but let's face it, we all know the image men (including, or perhaps especially, male singers) are expected to maintain.

Plus, chicks totally dig the vulnerability thing (sorry, just had to throw that in there. I'm not ALL sincerity all the time!). Hey, it's true!
