......Anybody Else Sample this beat whom I didn't list???

  • This is not only the sample of Mobb Deep's "Backwards"...There is also a somewhat classic song where a choir hums this melody...does anyone know what I mean? Sorry for my english

  • alchemist inspires me to do some serious crate diggin every time i think im goin hard songs like this remind me that im not goin hard enough

  • Fan bloody tastic !

  • All of you saying that sampling is "talentless" are just too shallow and not musically inclined enough to be able to create a DIFFERENT FEELING with a small sample of someone else's work.

  • You def right, MUSIC is all about the feeling and emotional drive behind it...it's almost inevitable not to feel a certain way when you hear certain sounds and musical arrangements.

  • How the fuck did he find this LOL the original is nice and mellow as well Alchemist did his thing with it and it turned out good

  • Even "REAL ARTISTS" ideas DERIVE from one particular source or another. Artists are inspired by their surroundings as well as tapping into what it is that came before them.

  • @BoogieKnight1976 try to understand that times change and music will always be a part of our lives, different artists express themselves in different ways. Who knows maybe sampling will lead to new innovations in Live Instrumentation .. you never know what influences the next generations will have

  • you are so wrong....creativity is always inspired by others work. and without sampling music like this all you would have on the radio today is the same dry bubblegum bullshit

  • you do realize that 95% of the people watching this video found out about this amazing artist THROUGH hip hop right? Myself included.

While there's alot of douchebags who sample the WRONG way and don't appreciate the music, I'd say its worth it to those who really study and make the effort to research older music because of sampling.

Because realistically only a handful of people worldwide would even give a shit about musicians like this if sampling wasn't around.

  • the sample is amazing!! we can see that he didnt put too much work in this beat... but HOW THE FUCK DID HE FIND THIS SHIT!?

  • alchemist is fukin dope

  • Incrediblechiller - Does this album contain a track called "Burning Waves" and does it (or another track on the album) contain a long(ish)latin/brazilian percussion break. If yes I have been trying to track it down since 1980/81. I bought the "Spanish Tears" album hoping it was on but it wasn't.

  • i'm pretty sure it does. but i can't find the album right now...

  • Yes, there is a track entitled BURNIN' WAVES on this record, but the questioner is probably thinking of VENTO VIGOROSO which is from Honda-san's second album OPA! COM DEUS, which has exactly that. BURNIN' WAVES was the first Jazz record I ever heard,,,
