@elfelda Yes, you absolutely can spoil quotes, at least when they're jokes. Comedy relies on both content and delivery. In this case, part of the hilarity is based on the surprise factor. When the joke catches you off-guard, it makes it even better. When the jokes is spoiled by someone tonelessly quoting it in text form, it can still be funny, but not as much as it would have been. I don't like to make things too serious, but the glaring flaws in your comment were too much for me to resist.
