@nickjjismyhusband Spoken like a true brainwashed kid. If people still think this imposter is the real Paul, then your brain doesn't function right. This fake Paul didn't care less when John his best friend got murdered and just called it a drag on national TV. Paul never looked like the real Paul after nov. 1966, in pictures you can see his head was taller, fake mustache and beards needed to hide his surgeries on his lip, chin, ears etc. it's sad people still see the fake Paul as the real.
Notice how all his favorite songs he wrote are post-1966, and he doesn't even mention Yesterday, because Faul didn't write that one. Haha. This one goes out to all the Paul is Dead / Faul McCartney believers
@MyHairyBreasts He's saying that because some of the earlier song he wrote are supposed to be Lennon/McCartney songs, not just him even though most of the pre-66 songs were actually mostly by Paul. Faul is fake. There is no Faul. Its always been Paul. You can't pull off pretending to be someone else for that long. None of it is true. Paul is alive.
@GretaZUU For me, it was a minor downturn in the quality of Paul's songs. It seemed to me to be (as John would say) a kind of "throwaway" song that Paul perhaps felt he could justify including on the White Album because John had insisted on the inclusion of Revolution 9. Otherwise, Paul's material is of VERY high quality and superior to much of what competitors at the time, and in the future, would produce. George's rejected Not Guilty is, again IMO, a better song than Wild Honey Pie.
@hznfrst Or Here, There and Everywhere, which Paul has long cited as one of his favorite Beatles' songs (John cites it as well among his favorites). MY favorite of Paul's Beatles' songs: And I Love Her, You Won't See Me, Got To Get You Into My Life, Magical Mystery Tour, Mother Nature's Son, Blackbird, We Can Work It Out, I've Got A Feeling, Golden Slumbers, Oh Darling and Get Back. The ONLY of Paul's Beatle songs I do not like is Wild Honey Pie.
@hznfrst Michelle is a great track. Paul and John were on a songwriting roll from '62-'69 (with, IMO, John stronger earlier and Paul in the later period). Rubber Soul is an amazing album and Paul showed Yesterday was no fluke with Michelle released just a few months later. The Beatles shame contemporary artists that release records every 3-5 years (of FAR inferior quality). They released 2 LPs a year, for 3 straight years (plus non-LP singles to boot!), including AHDN, Rubber Soul and Help!
@CandyDate THANKS!!! mmm...mmm...and the last one??? sorry, but my "ear-english" is almost so bad like my english redaction..lol...in the other hand: The Beatles Rules!!!! =)
@CandyDate That's the last one??? I though there was another one after Here Today...anyway, so, we have: Maybe I'am amazed, Blackbird, Hey Juuuude, Here Today...I love all of them!!! And so many other to!! but Here Today makes my cry...u.u...I wanna cry rigth now...so I'm gonna listen it, Im holding back the tears no more, no no noooo....because there wasnt any reason let to keep it all inside...
@CandyDate well, cry if you wanna, but not to long...I mean, not a long time...like Joaquin Sabina said: "las lágrimas para llorar cuando valga la pena"...or something like: let's keep tear to cry when it worthwhile" ;-)
Yesterday i saw him.I cant even express how amazing it was.I can tell you it was/is VERY life changing and inspiring. The best day of my life!!,First ever concert at 13,Im VERY proud to say that!
Hey Juuude :P. Aww, man, I can't even make fun of the way he said it. This dudes a genius. But I do really love Blackbird and Hey Jude, two of my favorite Beatle songs :)
me and my friend where having a sleep over and we were scared because we were so tired, it was like 4 in the morning. so when we went to the kitchen to get something to eat. we would shout blackbird lyrics to help us not be scared of nothing
How on earth can yesterday NOT even get a mention?come on paul you know it's the best song you ever wrote period!and it's the only song john ever use to go on about after the beatles split up because he also knew it was the best song the beatles ever wrote and in some way i think he wished he'd of wrote it himself?..:o)
@YouthLot Thank you.A bigger Beatles fan than me you will not find but I can't stand Hey Jude. I assume you too are a fan of McCartney's music .It amazes that anyone with knowledge of the Beatles catalog can pick Hey Jude as their favorite. I've got a feeling, Helter Skelter, Blackbird, Paperback writer. These are all McCartney Beatles tunes that are much better than Hey Jude
@d347b2 No Sir,people never seem to understand, you CANNOT ask a songwriter that question, its EXACTLY like asking a mother, which is your favourite baby, and oh by the way,he's got more than £300million..xx
@BlackBird796 Im fifteen and ive loved him since I was a baby. Please stop posting your age. Its not impressive that we love the Beatles because of our age
Yeah ! Paul always right ! STUPID question...disliked songs were never created...all songs were composed BY LOVE to music ! I dislike only ONE song ... it's Revolution 9...though it's interesting...& the album is THE MASTERPIECE !
@BrotherHoodUtd Ah see but you wouldn't because YOU created it and would know where it all came from (mostly). I've always said the saddest thing was that there were 4 people in the world who DIDN'T have The Beatles like we had and enjoyed.
My all time favorite Paul McCartney song...., "We can work it out" I know John came up with part of it but Paulie is the main singer, I consider it a McCartney song. And a great one at that!
I can't be the only one that notices that Paul's 50th or 100th best song are still better than anyone else's number one. That's what made the Beatles so far above all others. Not only did they write the best songs, they wrote 10 great songs for all other great rock and roll bands one great song and they did it in only 7 years.
My favorite songs by Paul McCartney songs are Here There and Everywhere,Jet,For No One,That Means a Lot,Things We Said Today,I'm Looking Through You,Let Me Roll It,Mrs.Vandebilt,Live And Let Die,Yesterday and many more.
You know, "In My Life" is the ONLY Beatles song where I don't prefer the Beatles version. Any other Beatles song I prefer their version by far. But in this case, I think Bette Midler's version gives the song a jazzy and cool air that's great.
Did you hear her version? if not, you can find it on Youtube. But look for the recording version, not the live ones...
the ones that connect to people are the best ones he wrote. i think he has more insoration when he writes ones about other people. thats why there so good.
MAYBE I'M AMAZED?!!! THAT'S MY FAVORITE!!! YEAH!!! I missed that in the concert last april 5 in Puerto Rico. But with that HUGE show he gave (one of the BEST experiences I ever had in my Life), well, I am not precisely complaining. LOVE YA, SIR PAUL... Take care, GOD bless...
I was waiting for him to say 'Here Today" it's really such a lovely song and I would be hurt/suprised if he didn't say that. After all, he did write it about John.
For No One, I've just seen a Face, She's Leaving Home, Martha My Dear, Came in Through Bathroom Window, Michelle, I'm Looking Through You, Got to get you into my life, Her Majesty, I Will, Rocky Raccoon, Sgt Peppers
I admire Paul's beatle work as much as anyone but IMO 95% of his stuff since the beatles has been singalongamacca. Fairly throwaway. Not very inspired. Still quite tuneful but somehow lacking that something that turns a ok song into a classic the whole world loves.
"Maybe I'm Amazed??? Never heard that one. Must be good if he prefers that from 'Eleanor Rigby', 'The Long and Winding Road', 'Hello Goodbye' or 'Let it Be'."
Then, my friend... Look up the lyrics on this one and "Here today" on the net. You´ll be "amazed..." I´m also old enough for Beatles
God, Paul must've had a LOT of babies...

I admire Paul's beatle work as much as anyone but IMO 95% of his stuff since the beatles has been singalongamacca. Fairly throwaway. Not very inspired. Still quite tuneful but somehow lacking that something that turns a ok song into a classic the whole world loves.

I've always thought that the bass guitar in Mrs. Vanderbilt from Band on the Run is astonishingly good!!!!

Nope. "Maybe.... " was a homage to Linda. One of the best love songs ever written.

@bricky59 "Maybe I'm Amazed" was about Linda. I'm not suprised that he likes that one (I really like it too)!

Hi Scrubs.
And why do you think I don´t know...?
I quoted something another wrote on page two or three, and ask him to look up the lyrics on the net.
STRONG lyrics, as is "Here today".

@bricky59 Sorry, I just came back and saw an old comment. Well, you did say you never heard it before (look at your comment).
