They get the camera angles at 0:39 by having heaps of cameras strapped to a giant rig, then in post production, they pause all of the cameras on the same frame, and quickly swap between them, making it look as if the camera is rotating.

the effect lenght is 2 seconds... so about 60 gopro to make it 30 FPS... .. probably all shooting video and they grap the frame they want... after render it and twixtor it to blend it to make it more sharp then Make it shake a little to make it more realistic shoulder cam style .. than play back to get 4 second unless 2 than mix a song that fit .. than thumps up im sure its the way to make it!!

@ksieb I can tell you exactly how it works. The line up of cameras all shoot video and record on the same timeline so they are all in sync. The effect comes from pausing the timeline but switching between each cameras footage. This creates the panning effect, after which they can carry on with video from the timeline from the end camera. I know about all this cause my uncle invented it, Tim MacMillan. Search his name, his early work shows how it works.

it's like the John Gaeta effects in Matrix: line up a bunch of cameras in an array, then sync up the footage and use post-processing to stitch it all together. The "rotation" is the change of perspective from each camera. Very very cool effect :)

I know. On Sony Vegas you can zoom in you'r screen so the camera on this video is not at that spot near them they have just zoomed in the camera a bit and then they pause the video and then they change the angle. You can change the camera angle to anywhere you want . But i dont really know how to make them change the angles to the sides so it looks like the camera is surrounding them tho.
