  • I said "And the End is in Sight, but not for long," which referred to the transition from escalator to elevator.

  • What did you say at 2:45?

  • It sure is, and I'm surprised it counted all the floors.

  • that elevator is damn fast!

  • The ones on levels 2/3/4 sound alike, but on 5/6, they sound different, and maybe they're slightly newer escalators, or they have different power units.

  • One of the escalators was making a strange motor noise. Which one was it?

  • Yes, they sure are with a speed of 300-400 FPM.

  • Fast Elevator.

  • It's only the elevators that date back to 2001, the escalators were installed in the 1960's. Also, these are Montgomery Globe & Parallelogram Escalators.

  • Yes, they are fast, and level 4M contains offices that are not served by the escalators.

  • in the elevator whats 4M? Fast elevators arent they?

  • 2001? The escalators sure don't look 2001 to me! And what a find; escalators on a college campus!

  • The ELEVATOR is '01, according to the specs on the description.

  • That's correct.

  • AND Sethn172 did that comment, but NONE of the more than 100 people in the elevator community knows where he went.

  • I know he hasn't been on for a year already. I too don't know what happened, and I hope he's doing okay. As with the years, the elevators were installed in 1983, and modernized in 2001, while the escalators are original.

  • If I'm not mistaking, I think the University of Texas at Austin is one of the few colleges in America that uses escalators.

  • Interesting...I have never seen escalators at college campus before
