College is not required but think of a professional singer; they may not study music at a school, but they still need to learn how. What you are saying is pretty obvious. You forget most of what you learn after college anyway unless you did math or the hard sciences.
However, having the logical and structural think ability to put together a well structured essay, and the memory to pass exams does say something about your intelligence. You can't discount college entirely, that's just hating.

College is not required but think of a professional singer; they may not study music at a school, but they still need to learn how. Likewise, UTube is a communications medium; how you communicate is important although some people will focus on the 'how' when they don't like 'what' you got to say - I think that's happening in this case but you always should make the effort to improve your communication skills. Education is life long and reveling in ignorance is a fast track to poverty.

You have a hard time arguing with people who have an education because they think they are smarter, thats what you keep saying.
The problem is this, of course they are going to know more of the facts, and they are going to have better critical thinking skills than you because they have challenged themselves. High school doesn't make you do that. These people know how to research and use data to back up their arguments. You only know how to use opinion and assumptions to prove a point.

How does it make you well rounded? Well rounded in what sense because I see a lot of individuals who aren't well rounded because their mentality and personality is sickening,that's not well rounded
What inspires me is to help encourage others whom faced heartache in their lives and I don't need to bust my brains for 4-8 yrs in college to accomplish that

I definitely agree with you. My mom never went to college. But she lives her life for the Lord and she lives it to the fullest. She never really needed to go to college. That doesn't mean she is stupid, because she's not. My dad never went to college. He never had enough money. But he worked very hard and now he is a multi millionaire who owns an extremely successful computer company. You just have to care and want it.

If someone attended college, that doesn't always mean that they are smarter than the next person who didnt go to college, but coming from a college student you do mature, experience, and learn A LOT in college that you cant get from everyday life. Every person should have a highschool degree because its FREE in our country, no excuses, and community college/scholarships allow for college so dont be lazy, and get educated.

People will talk down to me because I chose to further my education but they complain about educated people doing the same thing to them...like I should apologize for my education. I think that that attitude is a result of insecurity. Look within yourself (and be truthful) before reacting to the actions of others.

If you didn't think people thought they were better than you for attending college why get upset when people let you know they been? College is a sign of credibility.

no offense but WHAT have you learned? people always say "i'm educated" but i don't see that "education" anymore than i see with someone who simply speaks "proper" and can do simple math, half the time the teacher just ask you to discuss whats going on in the world and what "you would do" in a certain situation it's not like people go to college and learn all lifes answers the only kind of college worth going, is when you learn a SPECIFIC skill, like land scaping, cake decorating, computers ect.

By the way, in my field, the one Im going to college for, I will be getting ANOTHER degree within the next 2 years.
2 degrees = more money. AND I get to do more. If I get a Ph.D in Forensic ANTH I could be making upwards of $100K /yr
How many cake decorating degrees does it take to make that much? Since university is so useless?
Trade school for cake decorating or landscaping is a great idea for some, but dont rag on college just because you THINK you know what goes on there.
