Gracias.

  • Almost makes me wish I were Catholic again!

  • DE LO MEJOR DEL MUNDO EN COROS, ES IMPRESIONANTE, ANGELICALES

  • The director looks like he's having a seizure...

  • Muy bien

  • The title should be Crescendo.

  • I started to hate this song because of the All-State process, but this video let me see the beauty of the song <3

  • @TheMakeupbuttercup No we haven't. I just meant this is one of the songs for this year's competition!

  • THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

  • Mozart was a genius. And I have to say, the director looks slightly like a malfunctioning robot...

Singing this for Texas All State Choir! Woopwoop 1st Soprano!

  • @TheEmib123 You've already done all the auditions? Wow, In central Texas we haven't even gotten past pre-area auditions...

  • @TheMakeupbuttercup woohoo, pre-area auditions tuesday! :D

  • @GuiErechinense Maybe the devil had to dislike this music because it is quite diabolic in itself, but I mean this in an entirely positive sense. I mean in the sense of being a negative of the positive. I was quite terrofoed from the first notes, then comes that wonderful passage in whichChrist is buried and is made man (following the text). This music has made me realise again what a genius Mozart was.

  • 2:12-3:03 is my favorite part

  • Que maravilla.. Gracias..

  • Favorite Movement!

  • I'm so ready for District and Region. (: Can't wait. Texas All State Woooo! Soprano 1~

  • why this gotta be so good?!?!?!

  • I will be playing 1st oboe in this soon. Thank God.

  • Me too!!! vvv

  • I'm glad this is up..... I have to sing this for the Texas All-State Choir auditions

  • @mdeaves2012 I am so jealous y'all get to sing this for all state, all I got was a Bluegrass Mass :/

  • lindíssimo

digno das mais dignas monarquias européias

  • Makes you think was all of this in Mozarts head at one point...

  • grazie.....GREETINGS FROM ITALY

  • its good this video is here, but the audio in the video is clipping. going to look for a different version now.

  • My high school choir is doing this mass!!

  • In my opinion Mozart gave us the best version of Credo (Apostolicum) + Herbert von Karajan + Vienner Philharmoniker = I can just sit, listen, pray and say Credo with them.

  • The honor is absolutely mine! You and your companions are a formidable team, a superb team of musicians and singers, thank you very much to share with us this astonishing performance. Salute from your new and humble admirer, here...far in Brazil!

  • Kind of slow

  • @ComposerJMA Yeah you are very slow

  • gracias es una belleza.

  • I spent 10 years on the stage - middle school chorus, high school varsity chorus, and concert chorus in college, and of all the piece I've had the pleasure to perform, this is still my favorite - Mozart combined the raw power and emotion of secular music of his time, with the majesty and gentleness of the religious chants of the Mass to create something truly special. Both the solos and chorus parts play a significant role and the voices are blended superbly. It was a honor to perform this.

  • OMG Mozart is a GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • impressive, Kathleen Battle...always a pleasure to watch !

  • Master conductor interprets a great work of a Master!!

Hard to imagine a more convincing interpretation!!

  • Wunderbar!

  • <3 Mozart =]

  • Great perfomance

  • Grande Mozart! Pura energia! Esta música pode eletrocutar alguém....

  • Mozart gets to define what is "Mozartish" ! The woman in the kimono is part of an Offertory procession -- "the offering of the gifts" as styled in the new worship service inaugurated in 1969 -- a complete and total departure from the "Mass of All Time" for which Mozart composed this masterpiece of reverence and majesty. In his time this music was in complete harmony with the reverence and majesty of the Mass. Today this music is far greater than the banal service which replaced the Mass.

  • Divine music. Mozart is really god of music. Just imagine, what he would write, if he lived more!

  • I think, atheist can become Christian after listening to this masterpiece. This music give you real faith, hope and love. My congratulations to Catholic friends, from Orthodox church.

  • A Wonderful body of work by the master. I was able to sing this with the Des Moines Choral Society back in the late 1980's . Wondefull charge filled experience.

  • I absolutely love the adagio section of his piece!

  • this is a nice piece, but i can't help noticing it's very un-Mozart-ish.

  • @orphan567 also, at 7:06, there was a woman in a kimono, which I found interesting.

  • @orphan567 Why do you think so? Mozart is not only Nachtkleinemusik and Figaro))))

  • @TheVanya1900 He's also Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Symphonies nos. 40, 25, 41, 35, 32, 29, 24, 5, 9, 50, and 6, Oboes Quartet in F, Divertimenti KV. 136, 137, 138, String Quartets nos. 14, 19, and 20, Piano Sonatas nos. 13, 11, 16, Requiem Mass in d, and over 600 other works, many of which, you'll find, employ a greater use of counter-point than this piece. The Agnus Dei of this very Coronation Mass, is a fine example of Mozart's usual style.
