After watching this trailer and reading the comments, I decided to look up the first episode of The Dating Guy, the apparent ripoff. I wouldn't recommend doing that, the first episode was horrible. I can see a few similarities between the show and the awesome comic, but the show just stinks.

I was told they used to have an animation studio, but sadly they had to close it because it was not profitable enough.

I see myself as a feminist, but this is entertainment = The creators doesn't have to be like the characters. All Rayne's friends finds it disturbing with how he treat women, I've never seen them cheering at him when he hurts a girl, or when he insults a large person.
