Back To The Future is the best trilogy ever made. I am 46 years old now and I saw all three films when they first came out in 1985, 1989, and 1990. I never get tired of watching Back To The Future.
Beekie- You have a future in movies!! These videos are amazing!! I was impressed watching the 1st video you did of simultaneous Part 1 and 2 - thinking that was done by the producers. But, I hope this gets you a job in Hollywood.
Which sync problems, DarkNomad? George dancing during both sequences is really the whole point; he dances so long that he loses track of time and makes himself late to intervene Lorraine and the first Marty.
I just uploaded "The Enchantment Under the Sea Dance Revisited" for the first time on "YouTube" (on my channel) if you want to take another look.
Sorry to step on your toes again, beekie, but I had to clear that up.
@CloudyEdenProduction I just don't understand why a clip that was posted a full 5 years ago and is "more accurate" needs to be repeatedly plugged in the comments of an apparently inferior set of clips.
question, how did they do the ball room scene in bttf2? it might just be the lighting in this video, but it looks like marty has a lighter colored suit on stage in bttf2
@paul21mclovin Some of the scenes of Marty playing on stage in BTTF2 are green-screened, which is a likely cause of lighting differences. It could also be that the 2 movies have different brightness/contrast. I should have corrected for it.
@UglyToontown Maybe after Marty got hit by a door and then kicked by Biff, it planted the seed that would eventually result in him overcoming his fear of being called a chicken. Maybe Doc saw this potential benefit.
@UglyToontown Because the present Marty is right there w/ him in the DeLorean. He's not just gonna leave him behind. Besides, Doc doesn't know Marty's specific location 15 minutes in the past. The present Marty would have to travel w/ him in order to point him in the right direction. He would then have to deal w/ two Martys trying to get back to the future. Oh, and let's not forget Biff and his gang were always running into the two Martys all over the dance.
@UglyToontown it would be harder to move if you have more and more copies of yourself running about, he's trying to avoid overlapping too many time...
admirable, but a more accurate video was already posted a full 5 years before this one (google-search "The Enchantment Under the Sea Dance Revisited")
Not really, it has a lot of sync problems (most notable when George is dancing while Marty 2 is in Strickland's office even though Marty 2 already saw him dancing through his binoculars a few minutes earlier).
Nice video syncing! This remind me of movies where you have extra "options" like the option to chose which part of movie you want to see or what character should die which they made from some "prototype" movies back in the 90s
Very Awesome job You did here.... This is one of my favorite movies ever, and watching these work of art just makes me think: there is much more than what bttf is!!
If Marty A would've failed to get the Almanac from Biff & destroy it by 10:04pm, then Marty B would've ended up in Alternate 1985.
He would probably go back to the house that the McFlys once lived in, climb over the gate, open the window to what was his bedroom & that girl would freak out & her father would come in wielding a baseball bat. Just like what happened with Marty when he got back from 2015.
So for that family, it would be like they had 2 "visits" from the same person.
In BTTF 2 Doc tells Marty that Biff (from 2015) went back to November 12 1955 becuase of either temporal significance or incredible coincidence. But there's a third, more probable reason: it was the day he got owned by George McFly, a turning point in his life that caused it to change forever. Also, in a deleted scene in 2015 just before he goes back, he's reminded of the time (November 6 1955) that he wrecked his car for $300. There's no such thing as coincidence in BTTF.
@blofeld39 Yes Biff is strangely silent in this version. He also doesn't discover how important the almanac is while listening to the radio during the "tunnel chase" scene.
@BestGameGuider Probably the hardest scene to synchronize of all of them. I did indeed remove the audio from Part 2 for most of the song, partially because they skipped large chunks of it, and partially because I didn't want it to have an echo. There's also a part where Marty is climbing in the rafters that I replayed just so there wouldn't be a blank screen on the bottom. Appreciate the feedback.
3:00, they could have used the same shot instead of reshooting, but keep in mind, when they made these films they didn't think anyone would notice the difference or watch them side by side. Still I think they did a good job of making things look exact.. Even though it doesn't look %100 exact, these films were made about 5 years apart from each other.
He may have caused a double paradox but it was ment to happen If he was given the time machine, Time was trying to tell him something, right? And If Marty never went back to 1985 in the DeLorean. Doc would have never had the time machine correctly in 1985 and Doc wouldn't be in BTTF Part 2. Causing Doc to never leave the DeLorean in 1885. Wow I feel like a dork ahaha.
@DizAce69 actually it wouldnt matter if doc wasnt in bttf 2 and back in 1885. because marty would still be stuck in 1955 and would have no reason to go back in1885 to save doc if doc was instead shot in 1985 and killed. marty would then not notice this if it happend in 1985.
@DizAce69 and if marty was stuck in 1955 then he can tell doc how to build the machine correctly. and then when 1985 hits, the machine could hold a letter to marty about his mistake in the first version of time. then marty can go back to 1985 without doing this mistake. and either way doc would still have read the letter and escape death and be in bttf 2. So there!
@partyguy101ify BTTF1 Marty dosent know how to fix the time machine unless they can regenerate the power. In Back To The Future 2 Docs time machine (From BTTF2) had some minor, big changes though now its electrical. So Marty is stuck up untill that time. Causing another Paradox, causing BTTF 2 to be delayed in the time of sequence. Sure Marty can finaly tell Doc he was going to get shot on the night Marty originaly goes back in time. You know its just a movie, forget it, ahaha.
@Ericson1305 You are correct. Its fairly obvious when you watch the movies side by side, but I never noticed until I started working on these clips. The particular scene you referenced is a rare example of an instance where they could have used the original scene, because it wouldn't have required a different camera angle. Since they had already shot new angles of BTTF1 Marty (such as when he is playing the guitar), however, I suppose they reshot the scene to maintain Marty's appearance.
Also, Biff's car changes back and forth from a 1946 Ford to a 1947 Ford, as can be seen by the differences in the parking lamps and the shape of the vent windows.
When the DeLorean is hovering behind Biff's car before the tunnel(5:00), as Marty is getting out of the car onto the hover board, a brief view of the time circuits shows yellow displays on top, green in the middle, and red on the bottom. The red display (destination time) should be on top, and the yellow display (last time departed) should be on the bottom. This same shot also reveals that the driver of the DeLorean is not Doc, but a stuntman who is trying to obscure his face from the camera.
Its crazy, pause it at the 2:28 mark and compare the people in the crowd. Very very accurate for being shot 4 years apart, only a few people with their heads turned in a different direction, a couple different looking extras, and people who are missing just a single part of their costumes. Crazy!
You're right! I always thought they recycled the same footage from the first BTTF for this crowd shot. There are very subtle discrepancies in the BG and they way some people are looking is a bit off. If you wouldn't have posted this comment, I wouldn't have even noticed it.
Sorry, but I disagree with you. What you said doesn't even make sense, if it was the same shot then there would be absolutely NO differences between the two. As you can clearly see, there are in fact very obvious differences once you begin looking.
@ajvacanti 1) Yes you are right. I made a mistake because it's not EXACTLY the same shot that APPEARED in BTTF1 but I think that it was filmed for BTTF1. What I mean is that the shot of the crowd was a little longer originally when BTTF1 was shot but when it was in post production the editor shortened it a little. I think that it is very common that shots and scenes are shortened a little. In BTTF2 I think that they showed the little shot that they had removed from BTTF1.
@ajvacanti 2) Continued. And I think that there was no need to film the same scene again when they had footage from the first film. 3) I think that it is very difficult to film the scene again or an extension of it with the exact/nearly camera position and all the same actors from BTTF1. It is possible that it is not an extension of the scene from BTTF1 but it was surely shot for BTTF1 because the shot seen in BTTF2 has Crispin Glover in it as George McFly and Crispin Glover wasn't in BTTF2.Cont
@ajvacanti Continue. Crispin Glover in it as George McFly and Crispin Glover wasn't in BTTF2 although there are some scenes and photos of him that were taken from the first film. It is difficult to see him in this video but I took a screenshot of both scenes from my BTTF1 and 2 dvd and I am sure that it is Crispin Glover and not Jeffrey Weismann(that potrayed George in the BTTF2.)
