Lol you say that it is not a good idea to run around with bolt action rifle like it's a shotgun? If you're just starting, then it's a horrible idea. But if you know how, then you can dominate. No one will be able to kill you, because you have an infinate range shotgun that you can aim on someone's body in 0.5 seconds or less every time. Look at someone like TrueScopes, he can own you or anybody in any distance most of the time.

Stealth bombers don't ALWAYS work, maybe 50% of the time they do, you just gotta be on a map without thousands of houses; such as wasteland/afghan. Favela, Underpass, Skidrow, and Bailout are a few select ones where I got a Stealth Bomber, and everyone hid. Funniest part is, is the fact that you can HEAR the Stealth Bomber coming, so Counter UAV vs. Stealth Bomber...Counter UAV > Stealth Bomber. Kinda. Boith have their fortes, and the SB's are houses.

great game and tips i usually snipe with a thermal intervention with silenced raffica, but now i use a reg. scope intervention with the m9 and smoke, and whenever i'm on wasteland these tactics with the class and the minigun get me at least a 3 kd EVERY TIME. thanks wings

I guess I'm a supremely better sniper than most people who use cold blooded. The downfall of most thermal snipers is that they only look for the white on their scope. I look for the white and smallest amount of movement. If I see something creeping around out of the corner of my eye, I'll scope in on the movement and check to see if it's an enemy. If it is, they go bye bye. But I only really use thermal scopes on maps like Wasteland where ghillie suit snipers can hide in the bushes.

@OmfgItsNannerpants Sorry, but no it's not. an ACR can make any long distance shot the sniper can, is fully automatic, gives you 30 rounds before you have to reload, can be sprayed from the hip, takes people out in 3-4 shots. The heavy assault rifles kill in 2 bullets and can also make sniper distance shots, and are also full auto with bigger mags. The assault rifles in this game dominate virtually all other weapons. You probably won't see any snipers on any competative mw2 teams.

Sure, snipers can 1 shot, but you only have 1 shot. With an AR, you drop a guy in two shots (rof being usually between 600-900) and have ample opportunity to finish them if your first shots miss. Assault rifles clearly outclass the snipers, even if the person using the sniper is extremely skilled.

Given a perfect situation where the intervention hits gut or higher, and the shot is the fastest possible while being able to see the scope (quickscope, not noscope, basically), the TTK (time to kill) for the intervention is .446 sec. Under the same circumstances, the TTK for the Scar-H (ADS, then hitting 2 shots) is .461 seconds, not a huge difference. Keep in mind this is considering a perfect QS, which can be hard to..Cont.

In other words, the best sniper in the world kills slightly faster than your average scar user if he hits every Cont..

Bolt actions, and even semi auto snipers just can't compete with the amount of lead ARs can dish out, especially when they lack recoil and have incredibly high damage. Wings, having sniped for 11 years on various games, even recognizes in his more recent vids that sniping in mw2 is outperformed by ARs.

If you gave 100 players ars for a week, then snipers for another, I can gauruntee you they will all find the ars to be the better weapons. It's statistically and practically better, not an opinion. If you would get me a sufficient sample size, i'd love to run a full 2 variable T test on it, as i'm positive the ars would end up as better. That'd be a big hassle, however.

I started using cold-blooded pro awhile ago with the Barrett .50 Cal after listening/watching your cb sniping videos, and have to say it helps tremendously. I easily got about 75 percent of my nukes with that setup, and now use cold-blooded with the Walther, which is probably my favorite class configuration. Thanks!

There's no way the bullets are realistic. The .50 cal doesn't even have to hit a person to kill them. The sonic boom the bullet makes can snap a mans neck. There's a video of canadian snipers shooting rocks around insurgents and just blowing them apart.
