I am a live example of a person who is kidnapped as a child from my US mother, who now don't actually care about me as a son living in Kuwait,, she forced Christian Roman Catholic Values on me, when I became aware in my 20s,, I returned back to Islam, my father's religion who passed away recently. ....I personally know of situations like this and have seen them with my own eyes, i have also seen how a saudi father had respected the custody arangement or his childrens will to visit reletives else where. i guess to me the difference is that in saudi the girls or boys don't have some govermental or state program to turn to. like here in the states. lets not forget though that the states also has its own problems with abuse with in the family and kidnappings...its easy to blame the religions,

...take good care of them as much as they can! the custody verdicts should be honered by both parents, because it is law, and just the right and fair thing to do...but obviously not every one is fair and has any desire to 'do' the right thing. it is heartbreaking to see the mothers pains. it is important to know very well the laws and rules and culture of the country you are going to..or marrying into. it is also important to respect other human beings weather their your kids or muslim or not!
