Can you people stop the nonsense here? First and foremost, she is a singer... We listen to her not because of her race, but because of her voice. She's an amazing talent..... And as far as I can remember, she said on a tv interview that she's a Filipina, she just grew up in Hawaii....

I don't know why she's considered Filipino. She looks NOWHERE near it. Everytime I see her I see a Chinese. Jasmine Trias looks more Chinese than anything else. She looks like Mulan or William Hung.

@agentmakulit uhm FYI she is FILIPINO pure 100% BORN in PHILIPPINES but Grew Up and Raised up in HAWAII.. it was featured during her Pre-Interview TOP FINAL 3 FINALIST during AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 3 whereas JASMINE was in the TOP FINAL 3... she shud have been the SEASON 3 Winner or Runner Up for AMERICAN IDOL... Unfortunately that TV Reality Show is still RACIST and between WHITE and BLACK, No LATINOS or ASIANS have won the Title yet. SAD but TRUE!

Wait there, mister.. If you have been following the American Idol show in all season, you should know that it's obvious that the winners are very deserving people. The best asian representative ever has been Ramielle Malubay but she always pick the wrong song. Yes, her elimination was somewhat racist but the show is not- the voters are.
