Pretty sad living in Anderson these days. Running through town, you can see the smaller shops all closed up and carpet rolled up through the windows. A few bright spots like J Peters are still out there. The south side of Main has really gotten rough these days. Thieves alot of times will defiantly walk into a business, steal and walk out in broad daylight. They don't even try to hide it. Sell whatever they stole on the street less than a block away. Cops rarely do anything

im from anderson also, i use to say it was boring and nothing to do . but when you move away from it and actually realize how small other towns can be, you learn to appreciate where are actually from..i miss anderson and would love to come back home.

Grew up there....I miss it sometimes, real beautiful year round...well, most parts. Its no Charleston though. It was a much better place fifteen years ago, its gotten quite run down in some parts, its sad to watch your hometown degrade.

I live in anderson county an love it,,, been here all my life i would'nt trade this place for any other small town,,, but the ones who bad mouth it say it's boring,,but most of the people who live here like it boring,,,no gangs,no real bad things happen here like LA,,r NY,,, but thats whhy we choose to live here its really peaceful here and laid back,,,you who want to do somthing why don't u move to LA,,,,OR NY... r somwhere you wont be bored!!!!!!!!!!! We love our town

the city [ downtown ) and hwy 81 is the only great thang lOl other than that its dead eastside [ where im frm ) ghetto as hell ! lmao they took away the fair [ gangs & shit) i seen some ppl tour Anderson omg ; they have no life - who would wanna visit it BUT HEY ! i live here.its not all that great.and all those pics are from downtown anderson.which is like on one street.andersons not that amazing...but downtown is BEAUTIFUL during christmas at night :)
