I am in Massachusetts, and lost power for 7 days (October 30, 2011), this generator went NON-STOP, no problems. Check my channel for it running......:)
(continued) and get the fridge plugged in and the chest freezer plugged in. within 20 minutes of being said and done, me and my uncle are about to leave when i notice the fan is back on, then i see mu uncle turn on a light in the kitchen. lo and behold the power is back on. so we spent $1500 on generators (plus gas cans and extension cords) just to run them for all of about an hour. Pissed I was.
@NinjaPl33z Oh that sucks. I was afraid the same thing would happen to me, but thankfully we got our money's worth out of it. Got the generator on the 2nd day without power and we didn't get power restored for 5 more days.
@jasonsewell our area pretty much panicked and EVERYONE bought generators, so getting a generator about a day before everything hit was out of the question. so we looked for flashlight batteries, NONE, anywhere. my grandfather needed a generator the most, he's 75 and hard-headed so getting him to stay off of the floor and not bail out the sump is a job in itself.
funny story, we're in catonsville maryland, and the power was out for 2 1/2 days, so we go out and get two of these, one for my house, and one for my granfathers house, we get them home, set the one up at my house, get the refrigerator and the chest freezer plugged in, then we go up to my grandfathers house right up the street, get that generator half way set up and my dad calls saying that i get another day off of school and the power is back on. so we finish up the one at my grandfathers house
