my cat took metronidazole for his leukopinia and got the exact same symptomes.
it either goes away when the pet stops taking it or it creates a tumor in the pet's brain.
if u get metronidazole u must not give more than the prescribed dose. even with your pet spitting it out don't compensate by giving the pet another dose
overdosed. Dont forget to give 50mg/kG divided in 3 doses. For example, a dog of 4kg should then recive only about 70mg three times a day.

The list of side effects is long and somewhat scary but they have to write them so people know it's a side effect, if they get that problem.
