I play snooker with ma mates but theres one rule im unsure of. Say your score goes way above your oppents like 70-40 and theres not enough balls for your oppenent to win with. Do you still continue until u pocket pink for the last time(not spotted) because they could get a snooker on you? Or do you win?

@OnELOSTPanda its up to your opposition, they must make the choice to concede the frame before that. Having said that though, certain competitions make the rule that more than a certain amount of points behind is an instant concession by the loosing player (ie, more than 2 snookers needed to win on any given color after the reds are finished). Hope this clears it up for you

@kpgpwi64 You have to score more points than your opponent. When it is your turn (break) you alternate pocketing (potting) red then colored balls. Each red is worth 1, the others 2-7 (yellow, green, brown, blue, pink, black--in that order). Therefore a perfect break is 147 (15 reds, 15 blacks, + the other balls). As long as there are reds still on the table, the colored balls are spotted (replaced on their starting spots).

Penalties are points added to the opponent's score...

such as hitting an illegal ball (a red when you are supposed to be hitting a colored or vice versa), pocketing the cue ball, causing the cue ball to leave the surface of the table...among other things.

Awesum break .. but if you compare this to Ronnie O Sullivan's 147's .. you get a feeling that there is a difference in class. Williams lost position on few occasions in this frame. Ronnie is a master tactician as far as positional play is concerned. Rocket is in a league of his own.

yeah! it's true, Snooker is really hard to play. I play Snooker maybe once or twice a month only because I focus on Pool billiard.. table is really big, maybe twice as big as Pool table and balls is really small probably 3/4 of the size of Pool ball. table cloth and the cue stick is different too.
