Dependence? What kind of dependence do I have on my narcotics? I don't want to be dependent on anything, but I'll take dependency over pain any day too.
As a person who suffers from constant pain, I am all for anything that can help. I take enough narcotics to choke a horse because they're legal and prescribed. It usually just numbs the pain, it doesn't solve it. I've never used marijuana, but if it worked and were legal, you know I would. Anybody who doesn't agree with it has never suffered real pain.
Also, "prolonged use can induce dependence", like you said, you have used the plant for 30 years with no dependence.... but havent politicians ever heard of alcoholics? They are naming a side affect of cannabis (which i dont believe is true) which already exists with a legal and much more dangerous drug, alcohol! outrageous and frustrating

I know of an "81 year old grandmother" who grew cannabis for medicinal purposes, Glaucoma amongst other things. Her plants were confiscated, She was arrested, finger printed ,DNA swabbed ,photographed & cautioned .. She no longer has access to cannabis & is now almost completely BLIND !!

My 2 yr old son is suffering from stage 4 hepatoblstoma. We go days without being able to get him to eat due to the nausea and vomiting from chemo.
Even with cancer its hard to procure in TX. My 2 yr old could be eating and feeling a little bit better.
