I still want to see some of your fabulous pics. Do you have a link for your smugmug or flikr sites that show all of your photos that help pay for this gear?
I truly want to see your pics. I love looking at other's work. :)
Heaven forbid putting caps on the camera bodies, as that takes so much time to do!!! Several hours, at least! (Guess you don't like crisp and detailed pictures from your digital bodies, huh...I mean, after all, what's a little dust?) Frankly, I'm surprised that you put any sorts of caps on your lens bodies, as that is probably much more time consuming than doing the camera bodies.
Do you have a website or video of pictures that you've taken? If you have such a passion to buy those expensive ass camera's you've probably have a good number of great pictures. :P
well, i know what u mean by getting alot of attention, cause my largest set up is the nikon d300 with mbd80 battery pack with th sb-900 and a 70-200 2.8 vr and i hate the attetion i sometimes get, also this is a stupid question but i assume the toinka autofocuses with the film cause i am going to buy a nikon an nikon f5 soon and i have the tokina 12-24 and just curious how bad the vingetting can get at 12?
on full frame, the 12-24 works from about 19.5 mm - 24mm with a filter, if you take it off, it goes down to 18mm if you're lucky. also if you stop down, sometimes it gets a little worse, but 20mm is a safe bet.
In the backround I saw a book that looked familiar to me. Do you have Through The Lens by national geographic? anyway i hate nikon. GO CANON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YYEEAAA SON im 14 and im the same as u i got the D300 and i go to events and stuff... i even weaseled my way into a pro CORE MEDIA (the guys that pay big bucks to take pics) freestyle skiing event saying im the son of another photographer :P i love being 14 hahahaha... its great
well for film, dust is never a problem. with my digital cameras, i've never had a problem with dust and when i'm shooting a game or w/e i don't have time to put caps on. but i probably should have put caps on for this video.
The D40x was my first DSLR. (I'm still using it.) I love that it's so lightweight and small; I can carry it anywhere.
I'm not saying to compare the D40 with the D300 - That's just silly. The D300 is in an entirely different league. Just don't completely discredit the D40 because of it's size.
i think he didn't get what i was saying about the D40. i know it's a great camera, but i think it is a bad choice to spend $500 because you can't use older AF lenses on it. but i would be totally fine for about 85% of my photos. But the 9,000 pictures (the 15% of the 60,000 pictures i've taken) A D40 wouldn't have been able to get the job done, primarily for speed reason. (not AF or frame rate)
I get it, i want to use the AF with not so expensive lenses, like the 20-35/2.8, 35-70/2.8, 50/1.8 or 1.4... but simply i can't. That's just the reason, why it sucks. But otherwise it's good enough to me. I shoot on ISO 800 with the MF 70-210/4 E in a bit low-light and it turned mostly great. It's really light as others say, so that's the extra fact, why i like it.
yeah i hate the D40 and i hate when people ask me if i am with the news when im only 14 i have the d70 wit the battier grip and a 70-300 lens so its kinda big
why the hell did you leave your d300 outside?

your photography should depend on your skill, not the equipment you have.

i like this kid for a number of reasons:
1. im 15 too
2. you paid for the kit, just like me, and it feels much better when you buy the kit yourself instead of your parents buying it.
btw, how did you get all this kit? do you sell pics, thats wht want to do but i cant seem to do it.
mastertrinity1993 2 years ago
Where do you sell your pics? I am turning fifteen soon and I also saved up all my money to buy my own d300
KzLovesNey 2 years ago
Yeah but it feels just as good when a photographer you dont even know gives you their camera for free. Thats how I got my d70.

But the money you spend, if you want good lenses with autofocus... get the D50, D70/D70s, not D40, D40 or D60.

I didn't know you had a D70s? Also, I would have to agree on that whole D40 bit. Another one of my friends bought a D40 and it just kills my soul :(
