e.volution is the South African licensee. Back in 2000 they were a little to enthusiastic in saying that the cars would be coming out in the "following year" to the BBC. They are legit and not impostors.

The AirPod will be produced this year, then the OneFlowAir a year later, then the CityFlowAir a year later. MDI isn't using fixed dates since their plans can change. Their focus on the AirPod is because of the fact that they can sell these cars immediately due to the different regulations.

None of the deliveries that MDI say would take place in Feb/March 2009 and in Spring 2009 have taken place. MDI continues its unbroken record of never never ever delivering a car to a customer.

When carbon fiber breaks it splits instead of exploding thats one of the characteristics of carbonfiber. When this happens the compressed air disperses evenly instead of through a focused region. I had the same reservations at first but I'm worried primarily about the aluminum outside more than the compression. I knew about carbon fiber pipes (they're used in some gas lines for the same reason) but what happens when an Escalade smashes into your aluminum frame...

it doesn't produce C02 buddy, air goes in and the same air comes out, its the pressure that they pack it in with that produces the energy. Most compressors run on electricity, but in total sum the amount of carbon produced to make that electricity to fuel the car is far less than emitting it directly out of your car, and also alternative and clean ways of producing electricity are being developed. The main thing is that there is no combustion going on, that's what produces all the C02

well there are a number of different ways to produce electricity: solar, wind, nuclear, hydro, coal. I didn't get the question though, how much of what do you lose when producing electricity? Energy? Producing electricity is pretty efficient nowadays, much less pollution to run cars with it than bio-fuels. And for the compression, well you can't really lose any air buddy, just goes back to where it came from. But I mean if you prefer walking everywhere thats you prerogative.

of course, there are alternative energy forms, which is a different topic and raises more question as not all forms makes sense from an economic and more importantly from an ecological standpoint. Currently, worldwide only a small portion of energy is generated alternatively. All the reasons why NOT to waste this precious energy on generated electricity (degree of eff.= max 40 %) and then waste another 50 % on compressing air, as this amount is dissipated as heat. Utter nonsense this concept.

??? what is that for an argument??? I don;t lose any air?? Of course, not! But I lose lots of energy as it is dissipated as heat while compressing air. That's just the natural thermo-dynamic process. Just have a look at a p/v-graph, if u don;t believe or try to pump air in a tyre.

And yes, power plants are more efficient to produce electricity nowadays, but they do not exceed 38 % as the degree of efficiency.
