  • rin sounds like rachel alucard from blazblue

  • Im not so hard up I have to bang an old lady...I love this anime

  • Really guys? 7 episodes in and people are STILL bitching about manji's swastika?

    *sigh*

  • @bluesplus1 the swatstika is a sign of good fortune in Hindu and/ or shinto the German's took it and reversed the sign. Uneducated americans just think OH IT'S NAZI HE KILLS JEWS! and who gives a shit about jews anyway...they tried to kill jesus

  • @Kijion

I know, and have always known what the swastika has signified in different cultures, however, what saddens me is how people are still talking about this 7 episodes in...as if it was just introduced this episode. >_>

People need to get over it...

  • aswome episode

  • The symbol was used in many different religious ways across the world long before Nazis used it. It is also speculated to be extraterrestrial because so many different places used it before there was the ability for humans to communicate it around the world

  • Good series, but fuck that stupid english dup! the original is so much better!!

  • those guys got...... fucked up... holyshit

  • manji's sing on the back is either swastika or sing of budha but what the swastika or SOB really means is immortal or eternal

  • lol fail everyone.. thats not a swastika... its a sign of buddha.

its a swastika when tilted 90 degrees

  • This really doesn't do the manga any justice. Blade of the Immortal is above the usual anime pap and deserved better than this. The voice acting and visuals just don't match up.

  • Stick now hits 79 up your arse!

  • the fuck... thought this was going to be some new black metal.

  • I'm so glad I came here from that Blade 2 fight scene. This anime's pretty badass

  • Wow, the manga is better then the anime in fight quality. Thats incredible. Anime is missing the grace and brutality in this instance.

  • @RhiannonULlewelyn No country for oldfags

  • ha ha, pwned !!!! 16:37 (though a fake pwned* but then pwned for real at 17:04 !!!

  • manji fucking rocks

  • This episode seems to be the most popular(most views). I guess it's because of Makie?

  • remind me not to get on her bad side

  • There are plenty of animes where the woman acts as the heroine. Its just not very realistic, but female heroines are as old as sailor moon.

  • 03:52 nazi in japanese

  • i love this anime

  • damn it i though id get some heavy metal

  • @adamed91

And I went here for some ass and maybe some black metal but it's still cool.

  • @hackforloser maybe but i dose not play for me so its a lose lose situation

  • I've noticed in a lot of animes the poor dog always gets it. It's a shame that the only jobs for women seem to be holding a sword or being a hooker. This relationship is funny.

  • @Cartoonoldies Because its in the past and women were low class duhhhh!

  • @nennu1992 I wasn't talking about this anime in particular. It was more a general sense.

  • @Cartoonoldies i know that but you know these animes are in the past time and most women were low class citizens

  • @nennu1992 I know but it totally sucks. To make me feel better about it I'll rewatch Baccano! :)

  • @Cartoonoldies i know it sucks lol cause i'm a girl myself but i actually love watching animes in the feudal era i think its more interesting...

  • @nennu1992 I find them more interesting too. It just seems more personal in a way. Not about how much blood I can spill.

  • Isn't Makie more skilled then Manji and Anotsu combined?

  • I hate english dubs. It really ruins it.

  • Thank gods to have kept her song japanese !!!!

  • Não assisti porque prefiro em Japonês com legenda em Inglês ou Português-Br, mas excelente vídeo.

  • does the Swastika stand for good luck b 4 the germens corrupted it?

  • @singleladylove1 the swastika, as far as i know, is the symbol of inner peace and harmony that stand in the roots of the cosmos.

  • @singleladylove1 the swastika, as far as i know, is the symbol of inner peace and harmony that stands in the roots of the cosmos.

  • @zarathos86

And it also means power and strength

  • aaa fucking gay boyband commercial

  • @CrumblyCloud Actually in Japan and China, it's a character for the name Manji. Rather the symbol itself is originally Sandscrit from a tribe that Hitler took and reversed to create the symbol for the Nazi's. His version meant something along the lines of "Overwhelming power, Fear, Hatred" The original meaning is along the lines of "Power and order."

  • the swastika is actually reversed in the "old" way. The nazis just took it everything for what it was and reversed it.

  • @skankadelic7

Just like they did with Runes and transformed them into Division "logos"

So good luck having runes tattoos without being called a Nazi.

  • I love Makie's singing.

  • The first time a woman stifles my yawn and introduces herself with "You look bored, my friend" I'm warning you all now.

There is going to be a story.

  • wow, they really didn't do the original art style any justice. The fight scenes in the manga were gorgeous.

  • @mazeut fegget

  • The animation in this is fucking badass

  • Hahahaha, I like Manji's laugh in english, looks a bit more real than japanese xDDDDDD HAHAHAHAAAA

  • @CrumblyCloud Swastika meant something WAY different before the nazis corrupted its meaning. I have no problem with it because I know that the symbol has MANY meanings. And it is just your ignorance to think that just because something has been corrupted that it has lost all its value.

  • @inpachi123 to the japanese its called a Manji

  • @inpachi123 agreed. the swastika started as a symbol of spiritual unity and balance in many ancient cultures (opposites crossed). it even appears associated with the buddha as a sign of enlightenment. the nazis didn't even call it the swastika, the germans called it the bent cross. to me its the delicate ballance of primal forces that keeps the world going. i can understand why manji wears one. without a sense of the spiritual to keep him grounded he'd be even more crazy than he already is.

  • @whodareswins999 Wait why is he wearing a spiritual symbol he said at the beginning he doesn't believe in any God.

  • @Dezarann You don't have to believe in god to be spiritual. Manji does not recognize any god in the religious sense so my thinking is when you finally come to grips with being immortal you either develop a sense that the world is vastly more complicated then you thought and that there are things out there greater than yourself or you go nuts, like the guy with the worm killer poison. I think Manji's done a little of both.

  • @inpachi123 Thank you. You are absolutely right, but did you notice that the swastikas are the wrong way around?

  • @inpachi123 its stretches back to ancient india more than 3000 years, where it was a symbol of good luck and it has been in many cultures all over the world, adolf hitler believed in its supernatural powers and adapted it to support his reign giving it the definition of immortality and purity. Due to Hitler's ideals it is now known as a symbol of hatred.

  • @inpachi123 Actually, the Nazi's flipped the original symbol around. o x o

  • @inpachi123 Swastika meant pure SUN in pagan history

  • @inpachi123 well said

  • Makie is my favorite Itto-Ryu...

  • @AvaGuwvn haha tree dating your a faking moron.

  • @CrumblyCloud

The swastika is a reverse of that symbol.

It's the symbol for eternity, Japanese name Manji.

  • great ep. finallly a swordswoman who doesnt rely on a man to save her like that pathetic slut with the pig tails.

  • manji looks weird in the anime, like, way different from his wild dog manga version

  • so cool
