@mihaitudosa If you have the money 5d Mark 2, I have a 550D and it does take sharp videos .. depending on the lens. I had the 500d you would not be happy with the video quality, the 550d video quality is nice though if you know how to use it.

Full HD means 1920 by 1080 (and he recorded the video in Full HD). But at this time youtube probably had no Full HD -Function. So it is in 720p.

When you record in 1080p with the Canon 500D, you'll get 20 FPS, that is the stuttering.

I think you will be better of with the 500D, but I'm no expert, my friends that do films use the 550D and 7D, I don't know if the movie quality is much diffrent between these cameras..

Because it uses FAT system and it can only record up to 4gig..

but you can get a for example 12 gig card and convert it to NTFS instead... and you can run 4 x 18 min on 720p.. like that
