Keep playing man!! I agree w/ qasw345 that you are waaaayyyy overfilling. Relax and don't always fill with double strokes. In the Weezer version I don't think Pat uses one double stroke in the whole song...and he probably barely fills. I like your work on the ride pattern though!

I felt the same way at first. I started to enjoy the songs only after listening to the deluxe edition two full times. I really like it for what it is, and a lot of the songs remind me of Maladroit/Green era stuff, which I like a lot (though it doesn't even touch the 90's albums).

I feel like Rivers is just incorporating far too much top 40 pop elements into their songs. Can't Stop Partying is an obvious example (though it is a kind of cool satire).

And Let It All Hang Out sounds like it would fit on a Jonas Brothers CD. The choppy power chords during the verse really bother me.

But overall, I like the album, because it has some gems on it, and it's a bit of a step up from Red (which I still liked a lot). In the Mall is one of my favorite Weezer songs since Maladroit (Patrick Wilson is the man).

Us Weezer fans have long-since conceded to the fact that there will be no Blue Album or Pinkerton Part 2. Raditude is great for what it is, imo.
