  • trains and boats only?

  • No, they had all kinds of modelling, including military, car racing, dolls houses, circuses, trams etc

  • Great vieo mate. Just wanted to say i saw your stand and it was very good. I was the one driving that tiger over the bridge in this video. you can see my legs and blue jeans in the top left :-)

  • Thanks. I thought the tank display was very good this year, especially with the added scenery. It was also quite amusing at the end of the day while queing for the bus back to the car park, and watching people drive tanks out of the doors and down the road!

  • Sorry for the late reply, only just checked my emails. i was very pleased with brighton this year, a vast improvement over last year.

If you thought watching the tanks driving up the road was funny, you should of seen the looks we got driving them inside the carpark. the soundsystems sounded great in side.

  • 5* great vid the layout look very good so does the big heavy cruicer

  • not been funny, where was the brickish stand? i couldn't find it anywhere :S

I was looking forward to seeing it

  • We were in a room called the "Rainbow Room' on the ground floor, stand no. 45.

Sorry you didn't get to see it!

Look at my pictures on Flickr instead (search technoandrew)

  • Nice video. Although I couldnt help notice, why have you replaced the coupling rods with just plates on your black 5? I like the LMS snot you put on your black 5 aswell, even though I would prefer it in BR.

  • When I display my engines on exhibition layouts, I have to reduce their overall width so they can clear the platforms and tunnel mouths. I really need to update my pictures of my engines, I'm always improving them!

  • Ah that makes sence. I shall keep that in mind for my A4.

Its good to see your always improving your models, I rarely do, normally only if it will make it run better.

  • Wow! You made a Black 5 from Lego!

I wonder if you'll make another video featuring the Black Five in this exhibition vid! I like Black Fives; they rock!

  • But will it run with the other pistons?

  • What are you talking about?

  • You used a flat plate in this video. Will the grey pistons work on the engine? i.e., will it run smoothly?

  • Ah right.

The pistons and connecting rods work fine on the black 5. I have to take them off and use plates at some events because of the clearances on the layout, like platforms and tunnels.

  • thats so wicked i wanna go!
