I cant see out of my right eye anymore..and Noo i don't wear an eye patch my eye is just there its blue/white and I cant see outta it or remember anything of seeing with two eyes all I remember is the pain(the doctors coodnt Numb me or put me asleep cuz my eye was open soo I felt all the pain..But atleast it gives me The Marilyn Manson Look...I'm a huge fan of Marilyn Manson.

@glenndelossantos15 Yes, the patients are conscious while doing this surgery. It doesn't hurt at all. Its just quite uncomfortable because you can see things moving and Etc. They will usually give you a sedative to make you relex and not to be afraid before the surgery starts.

You can have cataract surgey with a local anesthetic (awake) or general (asleep). You are given 3 types of drops for dilation in the space of an hour (you are not high!). Its painless, most cataract surgery's are done awake, this depends on the patient and the opthalmic surgeon. I am an opthalmic nurse so see these often, this technique is not used so often as the healing takes a lot longer again this depends on the surgeon.
