I believe it as he ran 12.5 @ 111 mph with JUST a tune and CAI all for $500....
Those old first year 2005 C6 vettes only had a 4-spd automatic or the 6 spd manual.... That old 4-spd was a joke Try running a 2006 6 spd automatic, the year they finally put a decent auto tranny in the vet? I'll bet you get beat... I twinturbo charged my 2008 G35S with a manual tranny > (The automatics are slow) and it ended up going from 306 crank hp to 420 crank hp.. My best 1\4 mi ET was 12.7@110mph... Stock was 14.2 @ 100...
A Supercharged C6 with just 8 psi and nothing else would have done serious damage to that car and still handle alot better on any track. As far as engine strength, the 5.4 liter in the GT500 has already handled over 1,000 hp and run 8s on the stock engine. The 2JZ was definitely a great engine without question. i have worked on a few of the IS300 cars that have the 2JZ-GE(vs 2JZ-GTE) engines. I would like an IS300 as a daily driver. Very solid cars.

Trap speed doesn't mean you won, the time on the slip proves that... That sounds like a ricer excuse... Trap speed only shows what your car CAN do. So if you could drive your car perfectly you could beat the vette. What did you run?
I have a Stang and a Vette, that 350 is a great car to run a C6 stock or not. I always thought the 350 was a womans car, but that launch is unreal. It looks like the Vette caught up at the end because the boards flashed at the same time.
The 05 C6 had a 4L65 4 speed auto. All of the 06+ have 6 speed autos and manuals and then the 08 LS3 C6 6 speed auto was reprogrammed for faster shifts.
The highest rated comment is a stupid one. The Stock Corvette is no where near 59K. I could get one for about 48K loaded with almost everything. Also it offers world class handling which a set of TTs will never accomplish. Also an LS3 C6 with FI will make 550-650 rwhp on 93 octane. You will never get near that with a 350Z on 93 octane and stock motor. I could take an older 5 liter and put in the 8s for what a 350Z costs so it is a stupid comparison.

It depends on what year your car is as well. If it's an 03 I put you at about 325 with those mods. If it's an 07, 350 is about right. Your not going to be able to outrun a C6 without turbo's. The VQ35de just doesn't respond well to bolt-on mods. The 300zx TT on the other hand stands a chance against the C6 with a few bolt-ons. I'm glad the 370Z is actually bringing something back after the 300Zx.

I know for a fact rev up and hr will do it, but im pretty sure you aren't banging limiter in 6th at 160. Look it up on youtube or enter the gear ratios/tire size, rear end/ and rev limit in to a calculator and see.

All cars are made relatively the same anymore. The 350z should have ran alot better with that tt kit on it.. I would have expected low 13's or so. The corvette is N/A but does have 2 more cylinders. Not as an excuse or anything but it should have been a way better race. Both those cars should be running mid to low 13's.

I have a Stang and a Vette, that 350 is a great car to run a C6 stock or not. I always thought the 350 was a womans car, but that launch is unreal. It looks like the Vette caught up at the end because the boards flashed at the same time.

The 05 C6 had a 4L65 4 speed auto. All of the 06+ have 6 speed autos and manuals and then the 08 LS3 C6 6 speed auto was reprogrammed for faster shifts.

The highest rated comment is a stupid one. The Stock Corvette is no where near 59K. I could get one for about 48K loaded with almost everything. Also it offers world class handling which a set of TTs will never accomplish. Also an LS3 C6 with FI will make 550-650 rwhp on 93 octane. You will never get near that with a 350Z on 93 octane and stock motor. I could take an older 5 liter and put in the 8s for what a 350Z costs so it is a stupid comparison.

u hav 1 car, the zr1 and acr to make up 4 60 years of shocking sports cars. even then theyre still tacky. atleast nissan and jdm in general improve technology and consistantly make fast balanced sport cars. plus zr1 is tuned. im sure the spec v gtr would do better than a base model nissan gtr.

Lingenfelter ZR1s are nothing compared to a Lingenfeltered Z06 since Lingenfelter does there own customization with forced induction the already supercharged ZR1 would be slower then a superchargered Lingenfelter Z06. Z06s have a much higher potential. If you twin turbo the Z06 that would just be crazy amount of power

It depends on what year your car is as well. If it's an 03 I put you at about 325 with those mods. If it's an 07, 350 is about right. Your not going to be able to outrun a C6 without turbo's. The VQ35de just doesn't respond well to bolt-on mods. The 300zx TT on the other hand stands a chance against the C6 with a few bolt-ons. I'm glad the 370Z is actually bringing something back after the 300Zx.

Well a stock c6 costs around 59K. Use that same money and buy a 350z and mod it and see wat you have... ill tell you what you have. A car that a zr1 cant touch. Dont get me wrong i love American muscle and grew up on it.. but spending 60k for a car with less than 400 whp is retarded IMO. It only makes 430bhp.. what, 380 at the most rwhp? I know for a fact rev up and hr will do it, but im pretty sure you aren't banging limiter in 6th at 160. Look it up on youtube or enter the gear ratios/tire size, rear end/ and rev limit in to a calculator and see.

All cars are made relatively the same anymore. The 350z should have ran alot better with that tt kit on it.. I would have expected low 13's or so. The corvette is N/A but does have 2 more cylinders. Not as an excuse or anything but it should have been a way better race. Both those cars should be running mid to low 13's.
