@incubated Nope standard tubes. I like the MK II, but honestly, for a little more get the MK III. Main reason is tube rolling and adjustable gain which the MK II lacks. Adjustable gain is my biggest gripe as some of my cans are very loud at almost no volume using a fixed line out. I might upgrade my pot to an alps 100K to give better tracking and more control in the low end.
@StereoMike06 Interesting that you have that old receiver along with all that modern high-tech equipment. You really should update, amplifiers have gotten so much better, believe me. People get attached to their old equipment but they kid themselves. Total coincidence but I just ran across another video showing the Little Dot MK III and I've been looking at the specs and reviews. Looks nice, I'd like to get one.
@49kasey no amplifiers have gotten worse!! digital cant even begin to compare to analog in sound or style !! thats like saying mp3 downloads have better sound quality than vinyl and anyone who has half a brain and knows anything about sound knows that vinyl and analog is far superior than digital crap!!!!
@thisismypage79 Shut your face, mate! This isn't your page! Yes, analog outperforms digital but digital amplifiers are a rarity and not sold as hi-fi. Amplifiers, whether solid state or tube are MUCH better than ever.
Love the vintage Lafayette receiver (I have an old Pioneer SX series) and the 'Little Dot' tubed headphone amp & preamp! Most people don't realize that for just a few hundred dollars, it is possible to get high-end audiophile quality sound so mindblowingly revealing and timbrally accurate.
did you upgrade the tubes on your little dot mk ii? i am thinking of getting it, wondering if the tube upgrades are worth it.

Hi, what cable did you use to connect discman to valve amp?
I'm planning to buy little dot mk III and connect it with my iPhone, can you suggest me some highQ cable?
Thanks!

What are the power tubes you got on the little dot? They look rather robust.

GOOD AMP, GOOD SONG, GOOD RECEIVER, GOOD SPEAKERS. Now you need a vintage turntable or changer.

I have a 'Little Dot MKIII' tubed head amp / preamp. It is a remarkable piece of high end audio gear, especially for the little money it costs.
