Looks simular to the ones I worked on for the Suffolk County water Authority. They had many old 2 cycle Detroit models in service. The largest being a 16 cylinder dual turbo charged. With a 12" exhaust. It was locacted at the old Brentwood water plant. And powering a 575kw generator. Over kill to say the least.
One of the local amateur repeaters is set on one of those towers. i have not seen the site but have talked to the guys that maintain it and it sounds inpressive!
What's that sound that kinda sounds like a ghostly scream?
