for anyone who thinks hm slaves are good well i agree too a point but just cuz they are hm slaves does not mean they have too be a low lvl what i mean is say you are at two pokemon at a hard gym fight and the good pokemon dies well if your hm slave is a low lvl then you could lose but if he is a high lvl then he could fight some so you could revive or heal and then you could win

I hate teaching my good Pokemon HM moves. That is why I approve of HM Slaves. Here's an example why. Let's say my Empoleon knows the following moves: Cut, Surf, Waterfall, Defog

And let's pretend it wants to know Hydro Pump. You can keep mashing Cut for all I care, but it won't forget the stupid move. NONE of them. That is why I approve of Hm Slaves. So they can learn all the moves, and you don't have to make your good Pokemon don't have to learn these stupid moves and can learn good ones.

Yeah, maybe. Mostly I agree with you, but I usually like to have full teams of six. That's just me, but some other people might too, in which case you could teach your pokemon like one or two HM moves each, and then delete them like right before the E4 or something.

i always train my starter to level 10+ before i battle my rival, so then it makes all the other stuff at the beginning easier and i can train other pokemon without having to train my starter alot too. thats just what i do i think it makes the game alot easier.
