  • There are logically and consistent reasons to believe that you are nothing more than another christian apologist that has failed in an attempt to defend your faith within the boundaries of reason. Nice try. Fail.

Oh, and I like the way you bring in some being called Lucifer. How did a perfect god create imperfection? Another fail.

Do you wish to try again?

  • Very excellent and well balanced way of expressing truths, facts, faith and spirtuality.

I am a Christian, and have talked with many atheists, and most of them are down to earth and would like to have tangable proof that God does exist. However it takes more than studying scriptures and facts to have a real genuine relationship with God; and that is faith. Believing in something that is not seen.

Even atheists must have blind faith, because they can not proof that God does not exist.

  • That is not faith, though. Faith can only be said about beliefs, not disbelief. We also don't claim absolute truth or knowledge of anything and do not have the burden of proof, since we're not the ones making a claim of existence.

  • why does god kill children in the old testament for calling prophets bald head? thats not loving, atheist don't subscribe to dogma and if you call jesus love unconditional then your being oblivious and inventing excuses

  • I guess God thought that mocking His spokesman, and therefore mocking Him was a big deal in that time and place. God's righteous anger and wrath are not inconsistent with His love. It is not a wise thing to mock the Almighty. We exist by His will in His universe, and He answers to no one but Himself. Thankfully, He is just and righteous and loving. Jesus said "If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father...I and the Father are one." He also said "Fear Him...

  • so seriously your saying it's okay that children were murdered by a bear that god sent for calling a bald prophet a bald head? As if this prophet WAS god, I stagger when this doesn't instantly deconvert people. HOW do you excuse this? with "I GUESS god though" okay I'm done, thats just evil there is no excuse maybe for you but i think killing children is bad, and your terrible to me for excusing that, christianity is rife with crimes against humanity this is just the most ridiculous one i kn

  • @TheSubcultureexposed you are under the usumption that you are a god and you get to decide what punishments are just and which ones are unjust, any disobedience to God , He has the right to require the payment for sin, and that is death. every man has sin in his life, and God has every right to collect the sin debt whenever He chooses, He doesn't have to ask you or anyone else what He can do.

  • @jags018

"any disobedience to God , He has the right to require the payment for sin, and that is death."

I like it. Might makes right, huh?

  • @YetAnotherInfidel So under your philosophy I can rob as many banks as I want, and when i stand before the judge,he has to let me go, because might makes right...hahahahahahahahahahaha that's funny right there, are you really saying something this moronic, and with nothing to supprt your statement?

  • @jags018

Not sure what you are saying, I was being sarcastic when I responded to you.

You seem to think that your analogy represents a true connection. It doesn't.

If the judge created the man who robbed, the judge was omnibenevolent, the judge knew beforehand he would rob the bank, the judge made the punishment himself without any other imput, then that would be accurate.

I am not saying no judge, only a just judge who takes into account the crime and doesn't punish forever for a finite crime.

  • I would not say it would disprove it, as that type of negative could not necessarily be disproven, and the opposition does not technically have the burden of proof. However, it is a good question as to why this is the result of a perfect god. Claiming ignorance I find a bit insulting though. You are more than intelligent enough to be able to question it if you choose to. You know, he made humanity knowing the majority would be eternally tormented. I see that as immoral.

  • naejimba,

It is clear that you have a very logical mind. Surely then you can understand how limited our intelligence would have to be compared to that of the Creator God.

I am not suggesting an ignorance that is satisfied with not having any reasonable, consistent answers, but a humility that recognizes there are some things I cannot understand at the present time because I am not equal to God.. God repeatedly expresses delight in those who seek Him and seek understanding. Read the Proverbs.

  • I have read proverbs many, many times (that used to be my favorite book). I still find many questions and things that don't make sense. Yes, we must attempt to be humble, but I still assert we can question theistic ideas and know enough to find many flaws with such ideas.

  • Naejimba, There are things about aeronautical engineering I don't understand, but I still get in a plane and trust it will not crash. God repeatedly encourages questioning and seeking truth in the Bible. "Come let us reason together says the LORD". "Call to me and I will answer you and show you great and unsearchable things you have not known" "Ask and it shall be given to you, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be opened for you" "If you lack wisdom, ask and it will be given"

  • Concerning hell...The Bible is clear that God takes no pleasure in the death and punishment of the wicked. Jesus said in John 3 that "some men love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil, and they will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed." John 3:36 says that "whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life". The only people who will be eternally separated from God are those who hate God and His truth.

  • .. but he willed it to be so. His "perfect" plan wanted it to be that way. That is the point. What about good people who are muslim? Buddhist? Atheist? Agnostic? etc. Many of the people your god saw fit to create simply to burn forever are good people. This punishment does not fit any crime, it is far too harsh to come from a loving god. No one deserves to be tormented for all time, and if they did, it would be actions that condemn, not beliefs.
