The promo wasn't meant to isolate fans. It was supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek advertising mechanism hidden in a "viral video." They deliberately used the word "Huddy," recapped the moments fans often obsess over, then gave a sneak-peak for sex. They wanted to get everyone talking about it. But they forgot how oversensitive shippers and fandoms are, so they annoyed people, as well.
For me, there first kiss was beautiful. They are both so complicated and miserable and they finally found a way to let go of their fear and show their feelings through their mutual pain. Even Lisa E. said that.
Plus the majority of the House fans are Huddy fans and you have to cater to the larger part of your audience.
For me House is still different from other medical shows and I think they have a nice balance between the medical and character storylines.
You have to atleast keep the larger amount of your audience a little bit happy or else you have no one to watch the show and then it doesn't matter how good it is it will be cancelled.
How on earth can anyone not love LE..Like I don't even get that at all. She is beautiful, a good actress, and so sweet. That makes no sense to me at all. Wow, I've been looking all over the internet for one of those people that don't like her. Now that I have I must say it kind of disturbs me.
Yeah I've really decided to not even go there because trashing LE is just gonna make me angry so there is just no need to even talk about that.
We just disagree about things and clearly nothing is going to change that, so I say everyone should just watch the show and enjoy it for their different reasons. :-)
They made a commercial for Huddy fans because they wanted to advertise a relationship that actually makes sense. House has no interest in Cameron she made him go on a date that he showed no interest in going on and he kissed her because she kissed him first. And while he was kissing her he noticed that she was about to try and get his blood, clearly he wasn't lost in the kiss. Both of his kisses with Cuddy had his undivided attention. :-) Huddy has been five years in the making. It's about time!
Well, for me Huddy kisses and sex made no sense at all. First kiss was weird and it didn't fit at all to the situation, and then this cheesy dialogue after absurd detox, all like from some cheap soap.
And people in front of tvs are choosing something else. They don't want just another soap - and that's where it's going right now.

I've watched House since season one and i got exited when he was getting involved with cameron, with stacey, with wilson, with a hooker and with cuddy. amen to that. that "huddy" promo (my god, these combo names are so ridiculous...all of them) was just ridiculous. and this isn't about more "hameron" or "hilson" storylines, for me it's about put the damn focus of the show back where it belongs, on the medical cases. without that, it's just another show about doctors who sleep around with other doctors or nurses in that hospital.
First off, I just became a Huddy fan in season 5. I have watched the show from the very beginning, not because of ships, but because it's a great show, and still is. House M.D. never left, yes, there are some changes, but, after 5 years, how could there not be? House is still the same prick as he always is, and as for all the other characters, they're still the same.

Look, season 5's arc is about the House/Cuddy's relationship. Unless you want House to start whoring himself around, I doubt TPTB are going to be advocating other ships at the same time. And so what if the House/Cuddy fans got their own promo? Had another couple been the main arc of this season, they would have done the same thing, given the amount of fans is just as zealous.
Ok, it's about Huddy (which explains low ratings of the show this season, lowest ever). SO WHAT? Did Hameron fans get their promo before 3x15? Did Hilson fans get promo before 5x04 or a random episode with Hilson on? And so on, Chaseron fans, Hacy, any other ship...?
The show is called House. Other ships are irrelevant to the main show's arc unless it's related to House, or if the show's focus strays onto someone else (which would be retarded writing).
The House/Cam arc dwindled by the end of Season 2; their kiss was not part of Season 3's arc, nor was it even an advance in their relationship. House/Wilson has never been the main arc either.
So do -you- see the difference? FOX is milking the hell out of the next episode because they acknowledge that their tension has built over five damn seasons, and fans were getting antsy (obviously). They are throwing House/Cuddy fans a bone, as if to say, "Thanks for being patient. Here you go."

actually, the promo is the other one, the vid without the sex scene. This one was released as a plus. And for sure they had to show some huddy scenes along the season, they couldn't just have sex without a past.

I couldn't agree more. I believe that TPTB have forgotten that not every person who watches House ... or in my case USED to watch House, are not raving Huddy fans.

If you want to speak for 'Hameron', fine, but don't even try to speak for all House M.D. fans. There's no need to bring House M.D. back, because we already have House M.D. and House havng sex with Cuddy is just a natural development after 5 years of them wanting to jump each other. And the fact that the video says "for Huddy fans" should be a dead giveaway that that particular video was only meant for a certain segment of House M.D. fans.
Oh please, it's not about prefering a certain segment of fans, it's about choosing a direction, because that's what you have to do. House can't be with everyone who people want him to be with and they can't keep balancing everything. Now that would be ridiculous. If House/Cameron had come at this point in the network's (and I emphasize that this is the network at work, not the executive producers of Katie/David/Hugh) use of internet media to connect with the fandom, then there would have been a "To the Hameron fans" vid. The same with House/Wilson.
This show has never been about pairings, and it never will be. It's not about shipping; it's about telling stories, and this is the story they want to tell. Fans play no role in this.
Except that this promo has nothing to do with TPTB. This is the NETWORK. The same network who made all the fuss about the 13 sex earlier this year. The network deals with promos; the writers and producers do not and have no control over what Fox puts out there. And remember... this is FOX. They have to sell every little piece of sex they can find.

He's still an e.p.? He's not in credits anymore for some time. I've seen the interview saying that he refused to be credited as e.p. but it was somewhere in January. I thought he resigned. Anyway, I thought he got it as an "award" for a contract for 8th season.
According to Katie, he's been absolutely fundamental in how this show has been made from Day One, and the EP credit was just confirming what was already there. He had it taken off because he didn't like being credited more than once, not because he resigned. He still has a major say, and a more major say than Lisa, I might add, in how this show is put together.
You know what? I also have things on which to concentrate. Things that don't include having a temper tantrum over a television show. My part in this argument is done.

No, I don't think I am. What you're saying still doesn't negate the fact that, during S 1 & 2, the 'shipping stuff was almost exclusively Ham. The H/W and Huddy was all subtext and innuendo that fans of those respective ships had to ferret out. No matter how loudly you gripe about equal time now, I didn't hear you complaining then.
Also, HL has been giving some very favorable interviews on Huddy. Does that make him obnoxious now, too? Or does that only apply to actressses you don't like?
When Wilson moved to House's flat this was really subtext... And a lot of Huddy was still there. Now we have only obvious Huddy scenes, Cameron was barely visible, Wilson acts like he wasn't Wilson anymore, Forteen is going its own way, Taub does whatever he does, Kutner's dead :( and Rachel & Lucas are lost in a black hole. Great and coherent show, indeed.
I think HL says what he has to say and he has no other option. Watch a random interview for s 1-3 for comparison. He's tired of this show.
Kutner died b/c KP wanted to accept a position in politics. I'm not sure what that (or your comments on Foreteen or Taub) have to do with House/Cuddy, esp. since they both still get quite a bit of time on screen.

Foreteen and Taub were to show that there are other plots and characters that are neglected because everything suddenly is about Huddy. I.e. Taub's wife disappeared ;) But the most important: patients are background, clinic was either non-existant or stupid (like the guy with broken finger, hahaha).
I don't read HL's mind. I just try to guess why he's not smiling anymore while talking about the show.
Taub's wife was never a regular on the show. For that matter, technically, neither is Taub. But PJ has had a lot of screen time this season--and has even been nominated for an award for it--and this has been the season with the most House/Cuddy centered material so far, so that argument seems... odd.
HL resigned his contract just last year. If he were really that unhappy, he probably would have made a different decision. Guesses are not fact and shouldn't be presented as such.
She wasn't but I don't like the plots to be dumped in the middle of nothing like they never happened. Nomination for any award for Taub's role.. hmm, not a Taub fan here ;) But at least somebody noticed him... and this is not the argument for non-prevalence of Huddy in this season. I think time-checking could work but it would take ages.

Hameron never got so much development even if it was pretty obvious and played on for at least 2 seasons. We never got a promo,we never got more than one kiss they never talked about. yeah,the whole House/Wilson issue was quickly done with in 3 episodes while the Huddy soap occupied the whole season. The Chameron is only used to help the Huddy(eliminating competition) and the 14 is just boring and useless.

I agree fully with this video.
This show is totally different from the one I used to enjoy at the beginning.
I loved Cuddy as a boss, professional and strong woman, capable to cope with House's insane ideas.
Now I dislike the new 'romantic' Cuddy.
Don't like shippers in general bcs for me this show was not about that. I applaud your idea of this 'protest' video.

The promo wasn't meant to isolate fans. It was supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek advertising mechanism hidden in a "viral video." They deliberately used the word "Huddy," recapped the moments fans often obsess over, then gave a sneak-peak for sex. They wanted to get everyone talking about it. But they forgot how oversensitive shippers and fandoms are, so they annoyed people, as well.

For me, there first kiss was beautiful. They are both so complicated and miserable and they finally found a way to let go of their fear and show their feelings through their mutual pain. Even Lisa E. said that.
Plus the majority of the House fans are Huddy fans and you have to cater to the larger part of your audience.
For me House is still different from other medical shows and I think they have a nice balance between the medical and character storylines.

You have to atleast keep the larger amount of your audience a little bit happy or else you have no one to watch the show and then it doesn't matter how good it is it will be cancelled.
How on earth can anyone not love LE..Like I don't even get that at all. She is beautiful, a good actress, and so sweet. That makes no sense to me at all. Wow, I've been looking all over the internet for one of those people that don't like her. Now that I have I must say it kind of disturbs me.

They made a commercial for Huddy fans because they wanted to advertise a relationship that actually makes sense. House has no interest in Cameron she made him go on a date that he showed no interest in going on and he kissed her because she kissed him first. And while he was kissing her he noticed that she was about to try and get his blood, clearly he wasn't lost in the kiss. Both of his kisses with Cuddy had his undivided attention. :-) Huddy has been five years in the making. It's about time!

Well, for me Huddy kisses and sex made no sense at all. First kiss was weird and it didn't fit at all to the situation, and then this cheesy dialogue after absurd detox, all like from some cheap soap.

amen to that. that "huddy" promo (my god, these combo names are so ridiculous...all of them) was just ridiculous. and this isn't about more "hameron" or "hilson" storylines, for me it's about put the damn focus of the show back where it belongs, on the medical cases. without that, it's just another show about doctors who sleep around with other doctors or nurses in that hospital.

First off, I just became a Huddy fan in season 5. I have watched the show from the very beginning, not because of ships, but because it's a great show, and still is. House M.D. never left, yes, there are some changes, but, after 5 years, how could there not be? House is still the same prick as he always is, and as for all the other characters, they're still the same.

As a huddy fan I understand how you might be feeling, for I can imagine how I would've felt id it had been a hameron promo....

Look, season 5's arc is about the House/Cuddy's relationship. Unless you want House to start whoring himself around, I doubt TPTB are going to be advocating other ships at the same time. And so what if the House/Cuddy fans got their own promo? Had another couple been the main arc of this season, they would have done the same thing, given the amount of fans is just as zealous.

The show is called House. Other ships are irrelevant to the main show's arc unless it's related to House, or if the show's focus strays onto someone else (which would be retarded writing).
The House/Cam arc dwindled by the end of Season 2; their kiss was not part of Season 3's arc, nor was it even an advance in their relationship. House/Wilson has never been the main arc either.

No,I'm a Hameron shipper and if they treated Cameron the way they're treating Cuddy and if they treated my ship they way they're treating Huddy I'd still be pissed because it would no longer be the ship I fell in love with.
I'm ok with House and Cuddy having sex but I'm not ok with Huddy fans getting everything while we didn't first and I'm not ok with FOX and the producers writing ONLY for Huddies and I'm not ok with the show turning into General Hospital.

Oh please, it's not about prefering a certain segment of fans, it's about choosing a direction, because that's what you have to do. House can't be with everyone who people want him to be with and they can't keep balancing everything. Now that would be ridiculous. If House/Cameron had come at this point in the network's (and I emphasize that this is the network at work, not the executive producers of Katie/David/Hugh) use of internet media to connect with the fandom, then there would have been a "To the Hameron fans" vid. The same with House/Wilson.
This show has never been about pairings, and it never will be. It's not about shipping; it's about telling stories, and this is the story they want to tell. Fans play no role in this.

Except that this promo has nothing to do with TPTB. This is the NETWORK. The same network who made all the fuss about the 13 sex earlier this year. The network deals with promos; the writers and producers do not and have no control over what Fox puts out there. And remember... this is FOX. He's still an e.p.? He's not in credits anymore for some time. I've seen the interview saying that he refused to be credited as e.p. but it was somewhere in January. I thought he resigned. Anyway, I thought he got it as an "award" for a contract for 8th season.

According to Katie, he's been absolutely fundamental in how this show has been made from Day One, and the EP credit was just confirming what was already there. He had it taken off because he didn't like being credited more than once, not because he resigned. He still has a major say, and a more major say than Lisa, I might add, in how this show is put together.

KJ is probably friends with everyone on the show, seeing as everyone involved in the show is awesome. TIVO past the HUDDY!!!! I hate it with a passion but if there's Wilson and House/Wilson I gotta watch. Go to H/W LJ and read comments from east coast feed. They'll let you know when the Huddy is coming and you can channel switch or hit re - 7 secs and PAUSE and wait 60 -120 seconds for the Huddy PUKE FEST to end.
I don't think it's going to be a ratings winner.

I still find it interesting that this spirit of "all-fans-should-be-serviced" didn't come until after your preferred ship fell out of fashion. I think if it had been made a few years ago, people might have taken what you're saying more seriously.

You're still missing the point. I could live with this all Huddy scenes. I wouldn't be happy, but I could live with it IF ONLY it wasn't so agressively and obnoxiously promoted by LE and TPTB as the show was "Huddy M.D."

No, I don't think I am. What you're saying still doesn't negate the fact that, during S 1 & 2, the 'shipping stuff was almost exclusively Ham. The H/W and Huddy was all subtext and innuendo that fans of those respective ships had to ferret out. No matter how loudly you gripe about equal time now, I didn't hear you complaining then.
Also, HL has been giving some very favorable interviews on Huddy. Does that make him obnoxious now, too? Or does that only apply to actressses you don't like?

When Wilson moved to House's flat this was really subtext... And a lot of Huddy was still there. Now we have only obvious Huddy scenes, Cameron was barely visible, Wilson acts like he wasn't Wilson anymore, Forteen is going its own way, Taub does whatever he does, Kutner's dead :( and Rachel & Lucas are lost in a black hole. Great and coherent show, indeed.
I think HL says what he has to say and he has no other option. Watch a random interview for s 1-3 for comparison. He's tired of this show.

Kutner died b/c KP wanted to accept a position in politics. I'm not sure what that (or your comments on Foreteen or Taub) have to do with House/Cuddy, esp. since they both still get quite a bit of time on screen.
Your ability to read HL's mind is quite remarkable.

I know about KP and I understand his decision though I really liked Kutner.
Foreteen and Taub were to show that there are other plots and characters that are neglected because everything suddenly is about Huddy. I.e. Taub's wife disappeared ;) But the most important: patients are background, clinic was either non-existant or stupid (like the guy with broken finger, hahaha).
I don't read HL's mind. I just try to guess why he's not smiling anymore while talking about the show.

Taub's wife was never a regular on the show. For that matter, technically, neither is Taub. But PJ has had a lot of screen time this season--and has even been nominated for an award for it--and this has been the season with the most House/Cuddy centered material so far, so that argument seems... odd.
HL resigned his contract just last year. If he were really that unhappy, he probably would have made a different decision. Guesses are not fact and shouldn't be presented as such.

She wasn't but I don't like the plots to be dumped in the middle of nothing like they never happened. Nomination for any award for Taub's role.. hmm, not a Taub fan here ;) But at least somebody noticed him... and this is not the argument for non-prevalence of Huddy in this season. I think time-checking could work but it would take ages.
I don't present my guesses as facts. I wrote that's what I see when I watch him in interviews.

Attention and screentime for Huddy destroys the original show - medical stuff is not important anymore, it's a background for the cheesy relationships.
I posted it several times but I'll repeat: I'm not happy with Huddy ship but I could live with it if it wasn't so obnoxiously showed and promoted. Because if I want to watch sex and pairs, there's plenty of other shows.

Are you arguing for more House/Cameron and House/Wilson alongside House/Cuddy, or are you arguing for less time for all, so that the focus is the medicine? Or that each respective "ship" gets its own promo for each episode? Because it seems to me your argument is getting a little convoluted.
And, hey, what about the House fans without internet access? They don't get to watch any of the web-only videos. Perhaps they should just dismantle the Fox House site?

Hameron never got so much development even if it was pretty obvious and played on for at least 2 seasons. We never got a promo,we never got more than one kiss they never talked about. I've had enough with everyone pretending the HCam never existed and all there was was Huddy.Cuddy wasn't even in season 1 too much .

I'm sorry, but I find it very hard to believe you care about any of the fans but the those whom happen to like the same 'ship as you. If not, you would've reached out to others during the first and second seasons, when Hameron was getting rammed down everyone's throats. The fact that you waited until now, when your preferred ship is in the minority, pretty much says it all. If you're upset about what you're seeing, fine. But please don't try to convince us its not a selfish act.

In case you haven't noticed: in seasons 1-3, when Hameron was on, Huddy still was getting some. Now it Huddy and only Huddy, for no good reason. Even Hilson (of which I'm a fan as well) is less than a background.

yeah,the whole House/Wilson issue was quickly done with in 3 episodes while the Huddy soap occupied the whole season. The Chameron is only used to help the Huddy(eliminating competition) and the 14 is just boring and useless.
Wuddy fans also got nothing although Cuddy and Wilson would be perfect together but even that was just used as a means to help the Huddy.
I'm a Hameron and I want some development and sex for my ship but if it took over the actual concept of the show I would still be pissed

Nor, if you want to get technical a "For all the Wuddy Fans" for whatever the hell that episode was called that featured the Wuddy date in season three. Oh, by the way, TV Shows are supposed to follow what the majority likes. People used to like Hameron but eventually she became weak for House and found Chase, who really loves her; people like Hilson because they can but it's not everyone. What's the problem in incentivating a ship that most people like? What? 'Not most people'? Open the "ratings" and see.

I think it's more about "Huddy" and "non-Huddy" and not counting every ship separately. It's obvious that the second category wins when it comes to numbers. And I don't see any reason why Huddy fans deserve their promo. It's enough that the whole season was a disaster because of this shippy nonsense taking over the show in lieu of medicine.

*snort* That's rich! Cuddy has been a spineless, panting House fangirl all season, that should make her too weak for House. On the opposite end, Cameron is the most mature, kick ass character on the show period. She should be "strong" enough for House now.
My only consolation is House is not in his right mind, so in essence, Cuddy is taking advantage of a mentally unstable House. Much like the Chase/Cameron meth sex.

Pratically demanding you boss to date you in exchange for your job is not something I consider very mature or "kick ass". Jennifer M. herself has said Cuddy is the only woman who can control and say "no" to House in a recent interview. Wilson has said that too in the show.
Huddy deserves they promo cause it's the direction the show is taking *right now*. Everyone who had seem more than one episode can see this was going somewhere but it's not gonna be a happy ending, that's what makes House MD.

Save yourself, don't be an hypocrite. If it was some promo exciting to your ship taste you wouldn't bother to do such video. And if you don't have a ship you would know that sex happens in every tv show. Simpsons, My Wife and Kids, Wonder Years for Christ's sake! Sex is normal, doctors have sex. And this is the first scene of House having it since Stacy came in.
