Also, I found a good solution for fixing your games and it worked for me and my friend. I have the "investment" method or the "solution to scratched cd" and the method is the same, it just different depending on when you do it. The solution to scratched cd is basically getting another copy of the game from one of your friends or your own if it isnt so severely damaged and saving it to your harddrive, this shud take like 10 mins. Once saved the console just recognizes the cd and will play because

I suggest this to only games that are worth it, so you have to think long term and how much it was worth, because you don't wanna use space for games you dont play anymore. The investment method of this technique is by doing this right away with your own cd (it hasn't been scratched yet) so that just incase it does

Hey retards, instead of constnatly complaining why don't you just take care of your xbox and game cd's because if you constnatly move the xbox around the heat absorbing pads inside might fall off, then u can get the RROD, if you move the xbox by tilting or moving it fast while the cd is inside the cd can get scratched, its so simple and pointless for you to be moving/touching it. If u do move the xbox for whatever legit reason, move it gently and remain it horizontally, make sure no cds inside

Hey what you guys should do is install your games to your hard drive. It saves your discs spinning around, your console is a LOT LESS noisey, and it runs so cooler you wouldn,t believe!!! if you are running the arcade console without a hard drive trust me get one because in the long run it saves the scratches on your games and keeps them in better condition cause lets face it GAMES AINT CHEAP!! especially new releases. Btw, I have a Benq from 09/2008 that scratched a disc. And no, I did not move the system while it was on, or stand it vertically.

You can go to a retail game store and ask if they can buff your CD. It usually only costs a few dollars to do. Though if your Xbox scratched your game on it's own, without you moving the Xbox, it will probably just scratch again, and the CD would be too thin to buff a second time.
