  • My hair is really thin, would you suggest using a heat defence product on it or not?

  • @Mandapanda62 you should do both. If you have a spray, its better so that its not as heavy but its best to protect your hair from your drier and then also from your straightener :)

  • Thanks sooo much [:

  • my hair is really curly... sort of... about taylor swift's curl.... and i have really thick hair... should i grow out my hair? and any tips for such curls?

  • Instead of putting your hair behind your shoulders, what I do is put it in a ponytail and just grab chunks out and straighten it

  • if u straighten ur hair how long will it last????? how long will the straightness last??? please answer i need an answer... can a kid do like that??? is it aloud??? umm i want to striaghten my hair but im only 10 are 10 year olds aloud with straightening their hair???

  • @patricianami9

I used straighteners when I was 10 because I had thick frizzy hair.

ANYWAYS, it depends on your hair. My mom has naturally very curly hair, and when she straightens it only lasts a day, she has to restraighten it all of it the next day. If you have wavyish hair like me, It'll last until you take a shower.

  • @CGBabe101 thank you ur very kind

  • if u straighten ur hair how long will it last????? how long will the straightness last??? please answer i need an answer...

  • heyy. i have a really crappy straightner! where can i get one like yours?

  • Hello I have a question.? How can you straighten your hair without getting ur hair frizzy, It looks very healthy and shiny. Do you put anything in your hair?

  • great

  • the Remington® Style Pink 1” Ceramic Flat looks like a good one. it doesnt say a price but its a t wallgreens

  • any tips for thick, wavy hair that is a pain to straighten??

  • @Mandapanda62 while its wet will work better

  • you should still use a protectant. But atleast you know how to straighen your hair, Ive seen people go so fast to the point their hair makes noice. It makes me cringe

  • helpful hint: start from the bottom and work you way up in the back all the way to the middle of your head and then do the sides....takes longer but you get all the hair and it works better.

  • omg. you thought your hair was a "big puffball" at the beginning? no way, i wish my hair was like that before i straighten it

  • where did you get your straightener?

  • @LynchhMobb562 if the heat protecting products that you use when straightening your hair are making your hair all oily that means your using too much at one time

  • i have super curly and THICK hair so for any others who have the same problem i recommend splitting your hair in half down the back and holding the sections seperate with clips as you work thru it.

  • are CHI straighteners any good?

  • why not just separate ur hair with clips??

  • @OLiViA3729 i know its soo much faster

  • I've tried to straighten my own hair, put it just doesn't work!.. It still get's a tiny bit wavy, and it really bugs me!... ESPECIALLY IN THE BACK! I can never reach the back!.. Please help me!.. I'd finally love to learn how to straighten the back of my hair. My hair is really thick, and I have one of the thin straightening iron's.. and I know I need a new one. :(

  • My hair doesn't get THAT straight.. its still a little wavy and poofy..

Plus after straightening it, the straightening doesn't last for long..

What should i do? please help me!

  • I had a cheap remington pair of hair straightners and I haighted it it went all brown on the pannels as well so I swear by my ghd's

  • What shampoo and conditioner do you use?

  • I wish my hair looked like that when it was poofy... or even when it's normal. No matter what I grow a huge triangle 'fro so I have no choice but to straighten it, lol. It's also horribly thick. Your hair is beautiful

  • Comment removed

  • omg, your hair is quite thick and long but it hardly takes you any time to straighten it all! it takes me like 1 hour D:

  • @LearningKpopDances ya that's fine

  • you are so beautiful!

    this was really helpful!!!

  • I have only made the mistake by frying my hair once, but my hair was damp, not realyl wet. have i ruined my hair by frying it once?

  • Is it good to straighten your hair if it is kinda oily/greasy?

  • @LearningKpopDances it makes it look worse

  • Hi Jenny. I really wanna know your answer to my question. If you'll look at my YouTube pic, you'll see that I have layered, naturally puffy and wavy hair. I love my natural hair but I'm thinking about getting my hair straightened for the 1st day of school. I have Vidal Sasoon ceramic straightener, it doesn't have adjustments. I tried straightening my hair a couple times before this day and it didn't work out so well. i need to wake up early every morning just to do it. please i need advice. ty

  • Dear Jenny,

I have a Newer style Le Angelique skinny straightener, and I Have medium Length very thick hair, do you think I should stick with my Angelique or get a new one? If so, what kind?

  • Wow you have a good straightener. haha

  • thank you so much for making this video! it is so helpful! i always blow dry my hair and then straiten it and your right it does make it frizzy!!!!!! can you make a video of what supplies and shampoo you use. that would be helpful for me because your hair is so moist!

  • Thanks for the tips. =] They really helped.

  • Hey Jenny. This video is pointless. Thanks for a wait of my time. You're awesome.

  • is your hair thick and frizzy?????

  • It's a lot easier, and you will less likely miss spots if you section your hair when straightening it.

  • Hey I wannted to comment I I accedently cliked to flage this video sorry i'm retarted jk or am I lolz nice video

  • Hahah u had somthing in your teeth lolz

  • just htought i should point out that in this video, you look ALOT like Demi Lovato .. :)

  • Haha i love you on camera. I'm subbing.

  • Hi! I love your tutorial videos, they're really helpful. I just wanted to get your opinion on whether the products I use are okay for my hair. I naturally have really frizzy/puffy hair that has to be straightened to look decent. While my hair is wet, I use superskinny serum (green bottle, I think it's Paul Mitchell?). Once it's dry I spray on Rusk thermal shine spray. I use a Paul Mitchell protools Express ionstyle 1.0 straightener (it's silver, if that helps). Is that healthy for my hair?

  • What are some good hair straightners? i have heard that VS is a good company, there are soo many out there! im only in grade 6!

  • wow that must be so hard for girls

im kinda thankful that im a dude

  • Hey Jenny i have a different type of hair than you guys i am african american and my hair never stays straight like yours and it doesent even move when i turn my head like its not like i could flip my hair like you guys and i really want nice and long hair but everything i try doesent seem to work please help me

  • great vid

i always use erm tresemme heat defence anyway, thats still alright isn't it? ...(even though i don't straighten my hair everyday..i usualy straighten it...then don't wash it for 2 days so its straight for at least 2 days haha)

  • should I wet my hair before straightening it?????

  • @newyorkprinces NO NO! that is literally frying your hair, like as if you were to put a skillet on a stove, get it really hot, and literally drop water on it. it will sizzle and kill your hair

  • @newyorkprinces

Yeah if you have a wet/dry straightener :).Just not everyday though XD

  • @maureengonzales15 DO NOT get a wet to Straight, it's not worth it, it will leave it looking frizzy, and you will have to just re-straighten it anyways. Which will kill your hair. a one inch sounds like a much better choice

  • Do you use any heat products in you hair before you starighten it?? I couldnt find the answer in the side bar...

  • i loveeeee youuur striaghteener i want iht :)

  • Love you Jenny

  • Thank Youu :P You are amazing <3 !!!!!

  • Hemigton can be found at Target. This wide one on the video and the slim one too. These remington is awsome and comes with CD video showing gorgeous curls and straigtening turorial. It's $36

  • U have really pretty hair :) (:

  • umm dont you put any products so your hair dosent look ugly. and anyways you should add some music in there

  • Thank you. What's calus on the hair. You said you have calous on your hair in the back.

  • Cows-lick - its where the hair sticks up in a random area

  • idk why you dont like your bangs i think they are very cute but that is my opinion and of course we have differant styles if you do not like them dont just pin them back every day try somthing new

  • i gotta be honest, your hair was nice before! its shiny and wavy and lush! you're so lucky to have natural hair like that.

  • okay so i wish my hair was like that it takes me two hours tow straighten my hair! i have naturally curly hair but its like a poofy mess

  • ow it looks really good

  • your really helpfull [: i love your hair straightener it seems like it works really well , i paid like 50 for mine from sallys beauty supply i think its called , and it doesnt straighten like that , i have to check out a remington straightner [: but anyway thanks and your hair is really pretttty

  • if my hair was nice and wavy naturaly i wouldnt straighten it but mines is disguting and poofy!!

  • do you use a heat product ?

  • you so a beauty and you have beautyful hair

  • The way I straighten my hair is that I shower, then I TOWEL dry it, not BLOW dry it. I wrap my hair with a towel for like 20 minutes. Then, I straighten my hair WITH A CURLING IRON not a flat iron, so I straighten my hair normally. Is this a good routine for me hair?

  • @xopeaceluvmusic well definately eliminating the blow dryer and towel drying it is a lot healthier. so as long as you are using conditioner and letting your hair dry completely before you use the curling iron you should be fine

  • @JennyTalks thanks!! i have another question. (sorry!!!) i use a different type of brand of conditioner than my shampoo. is that okay?

  • @xopeaceluvmusic fer sureee

  • @JennyTalks yay awesome! thx!

  • when i had remington straightners mine did the same.

  • when i blow dry my hair the layers goes dead frizzy at the bottoms. why is this? please help :) x

  • @weeboo22 you most likely have split ends. if you go to ur hair stylist they will probably tell you to at least get a trim to remove the ends.

  • thanks very much xx

  • I straighten my hair just about every single day and have never used a heat product a day in my life. My hair is NOT fried, frizzy or dry looking. So depends on the person. I use the CHI, which is a very high temp iron.

  • @TH3H3ATH3R do you mean its getting staticy?

  • kahhbooom you need to stfu. shes just explaining. Shes was very polite and answered the questions. so stop being so damn rude to ppl.

  • is tat straightner good or not

  • it really makes ur hai look nice! what do u use 4 ur hair?? its not frizzy and really shiny lookin! awesome vid. 10 minutes totally NOT wasted! :)

  • i have 2 questions !

1-what shampoo do you use ?

    2-i can't find that straightener on e-bay !

and i don't live in America ! so how could i get one ?

    please answer

  • i have a question how do u keep your hair steraight all fday????

  • I got a remmington straightner, 45W, MODEL - CS-1155, and it can barly straighten. Its really bad. When you told me the name of your straightner I was so supried, but wow your straightner is AAWESOMEEE

  • jenny, my name is caitlin and i want to ask you a question. I have a starightner called, wet to straight. my hair is kind of thick but not really. Give me some adivce.

  • @caitlinlaw12 hey hun

wet to straight doesnt work well for me. it usually just semi drys it and flattens it, but it will stay puffy and easily frizz.

  • just a question how do u keep yopur haior straight all day and also u'r rlly pretty and i luv u;r hair

  • can u do one about curling ur hair? bc im asian and my air dosent cul

  • curl*hair*

  • guess my straightener isnt tht good .

  • i want that straightener! :(

  • I straigten my hair once a week and curl it once a week, and that's it for heat. When i do those I use a heat protectant, but somehow my hair is fried! What do I do to get it back to being healthy again? I live in a cold place, it's normally about 25 degrees. Could that have something to do with it?

  • yea, that could have something to do with it.

i would deep condition your hair.

If you dont use conditioner already you should definately start. and leave it in for as long as possible.

You may also want to get any shampoos and conditioners that say smoothing or restoring

  • u can find the straightner at target (the brand remington idk bout tht exact one)

  • This video is really helpful. I like your hair. Thanks Jenny!

    Do more videos on hair

  • Just a question, my hair is naturally straight with a few kinks here and there, and when i go to straighten it, it looks no different and it doesn't look as nice as your yours, any suggestions?

  • hmm, are you sure your straightener is strong enough. It may just be that your straightener is only flattening your hair for the time being, and not making sure it holds its new straight shape. a higher heat may also help

  • you should always use heat protection

  • you don't section your hair?

    or haet protect it?

i thought that was the best and easiest way?

  • How often do you straighten your hair? And do you think heat protectant is super neccasary if you condition your hair with with like shampoos and conditioners that work for damaged heated hair?
