  • 0:56 - 1:09 RATM moment

  • i swear that sound made me dizzy man lol

  • Overdrive

  • great sound only thing is i would tweek the flange a bit

  • OK COMPUTER POSTER?

YOU'RE COOL YOU KNOW THAT, RIGHT?

  • I like OK Computer in this video !

  • Neat OK Computer poster you have

  • you are teasin me auditoraly lol

  • sounds a bit like green day

  • uh, ok computer poster, love it

  • @biggayal1992 The keeley modified BOSS mt-2 pedal is the best distortion pedal i've ever used. Tons of variety.

  • Exelent.

  • sounds like this should be on a silver mt. zion's new album...well the first 30 seconds or so.

  • no.

  • very nice!

  • I'd put money on guessing you like tom morello

  • CUT YOUR HAIR

  • hahaha you must be joking

  • Yup afraid so, its a blatant rip off to be honest but sounded right for that song and is abit of a tip of the hat to my Morello

  • @craigmcarthur1 love the ok computer poster man!

  • Hi man your great I am brazilian and i wanna know what is the best pedal for heavy metal and best of wah wah! Thanks you are the best.

  • hmmm... -.-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i apologise. I have about 100 videos on here now all with fairly detailed video descriptions. As you can imagine this a fairly time consuming undertaking and on occasion details can be overlooked. Watch any number of my other videos which will prove that on the whole I am fairly accurate and honest with the gear used. Why would i pretend an epi is a gibson when I already own a PRS Singlecut which is more expensive than a gibson les paul and in my opinion better for my personal needs

  • No PRS is more expensive than a vintage Les Paul custom, or as impressive imho. But all that aside, dude is just being a lamer ; we can all see and tell it's an Epi by the headstock.

Your playing is great, keep up the good work.

  • Thats the beauty of playing guitar and guitars in general, its all very subjective and everyone gets an opinion.

With regards to my comments on price I was looking at buying a new guitar.

  • wow, your discriptions are very detailed. and your playing is great! keep up the great work!

  • Kick-ass riff! Thanks and keep it up.

  • Hi, I'm from Brazil and I've been watching your videos and your band's for a while. You've really helped me with my doubts about some pedals, for example I bought my dl4 before watching some of your videos. I'd like to ask, do you use the tremolo of your Flextone or some pedal? Does Flextone's tremolo work with tap tempo? If you use some tremolo pedal, what would it be? Congratulations for your band's work, really good sound, cheers.

  • Iv used a few tremolo's. My Mesa Boogie has an inbuilt tremolo. I have used the Boss GT6 on board tremolo. I hav used the Flextone II tremolo. I also use a Line 6 Tap Tremolo pedal, which does have a tap tempo function but i dont like the sound.

I now use a TC Electronic Nova Modulator which has a tremolo with tap tempo function and it sounds great, very versatile.

  • great sound man

    and very nice music

what type of overdrive do you use? it works like a a charm...keep doin the good work cheers

  • Thanks, its just the basic overdrive on the line 6 flextone ii amp.

  • that sound sounds exactly like morrellloooo!!!! hhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmm....... let me find out thats a lick from pulls on parade when he goes cha cha! cha cha!! wika eika eika wika cha cha cha cha!

  • nice radiohead poster :)

  • some of that sounded alot like somethin tom morello would play!

very good,i like the title of the song!

  • awesome backline... sounds rad

  • start a band dude! man that was awesome!

  • I play in a few bands. In fact the this song is one of my bands. My main band are called Vinyl Future. There are links in the video description to relevant sites etc. Thanks for the comment!

  • hey, what can i say.. i see that vinyl future topic has stopped, or are you goin to big bang the human realm of great music?:>

cheer up, it was really great thing :)

  • Im not sure what you saying here to be honest? Vinyl Future are still ongoing, we just need a new drummer and its been difficult to get hold of someone at the same level as our original drummer.

  • just wanted to say that i like your music and waiting for possibility to buy your CD, im from Poland so it may be a problem, but i have a lot of patience. have a nice day :)

  • Glad you like our music. CD's will eventually be available to buy online, and we will be shipping to anywhere so the fact you are in Poland shouldnt make much of a difference. We are sorting out a bank account right now to enable use to sell the CD's hopefully shodlnt be too long!!!

  • ....Noel gallagher?!.

    :D

  • Hahah what?

  • Can all those pedals go threw an effects loop, (other than eq) so I can keep my tone and still have effects?

  • Yes, through your effects loop is the best way to use reverb, delay and tremolo

  • Is This played at the same time?

    Or One by one?

    and Is This in Order?

    1.Delay

    2.Tremolo

    3.Reverb

    4.Flanger

    ???

  • Read the video description, there is a timeline there

  • A fellow Radiohead fan.

    Good man.

  • Yup big Radiohead fan!!! cheers

  • Hi U do sound really good.

Ive always wanted to know how to get that sound in the begining. The same that greenday used for blvd of broken dreams. Would u please take a moment and tell me how that sound was made meaning what pedals are you exactly using at that moment? It would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

  • Tap tempo tremolo effect is how I am producing the sound in this video, so delay and tremolo are locked into the bpm of the song. Not sure how greenday done it, probably in a similar way but almost certainly a post effect in the studio

  • Thanks, Ill def check that out. Great job btw!

  • Its just tremolo for that song, it might use some distortion but I'm not sure. But I know that it does use tremolo for sure

  • What song are you talking about?

  • ok computer!!!!!

  • You sound great!

  • no offense but isnt that just a few chords and pedal effects? It does sound good thou.

  • Yup, its a demonstration of effects, hence the effects pedals

  • dude not bad.

  • Dude, your to good. haha

  • Radiohead poster ftw :)

  • I really like your style keep it up broham

  • Very tom morello the distorsion riff

  • I love the setting you create it is cool I like it can you show me the setting Thx man

  • BRAVO!!!!!!!!!

  • tom morello

  • Awsome sound!! love it

And nice Ok computer poster !!

  • I meant to the "How Soon Is Now?" comment.

  • Your tones are killer!

  • this is fuckin great

  • It's great.

  • I dig it. The tremolo effect reminds me of "How Soon Is Now?" by The Smiths. Especially during the intro.

  • I agree.

  • My favorite track from Airport Syndrome!!!,

Exactly how many pedal's do you use live?

i know you hold a vast collection,

    but which are the essential's?

  • Hey man, I also like this track, Gary's solo is outstanding on 'Marlboro King' in my opinion.

Live depends which amp I am using. If its a small gig I might be lazy and just take my pratice amp, Flextone II a Boss GT6 and Line 6 DL4.

If I use my full rig, Hiwatt and Mesa amp, I need to take a shitload of pedals. The new pedalboard with GigRig Pro 14 has about 25pedals, its mammoth but sounds great.

Thanks for buying 'Airport Syndrome' if you did already, much appreciated!

  • NICE

  • Love this one, might I add. I would do many things for your rig. Many many things.

  • What were the opening chords?

  • damn ive been looking for that radiohead poster forever... where did you get it? radiohead is the greatest band ever.

  • I bought it at the OK Computer Tour from the merchandise stall when they toured that album years ago! Seen every tour since!

  • matthew is an idiot

  • i like :44 on the most

  • me 2

  • Sounds very Rage Against the Machine. Luckily there my favorite band at the moment. :)

  • Very good guitar, please visit me.

  • Matthewjp97 is an asshole of the first degree!

    Where's your video big balls?

  • Haha yeh, unfortunately you do get silly comments like those from time to time.

  • I dont get ur point?

  • Its not the most demanding piece of music I do admit, go listen to my band then comment on my 'talent'. The whole point of the video is demonstrate how effects can be used in conjunction with each other, not for me to shred and show off like a loser. What use is that to anyone?

Post some videos of your own and people may take ur comments more seriously.

  • I did not say you had no talent so dont get all crazy. I just said that it was a save that you named the title by the effects or else you probably would be getting alot of crappy coments. So, r we cool?

  • look. if you named the vid "best solo ever" people would respond differently and leave you crappy comments. Thats all. nothing personal.

  • Why would i name the video best solo ever? All my demo vids are named accordingly with regards to the gear being demoed. But yes i see ur point regarding the comments and i hv seen those 'best solo ever videos' but i am not a jackass hence would nvr name a video in tht way.

  • You will be getting hate replies for as long

as time shall stand dick head.

  • He's not trying to show how amazing he is. If he was, then he would have titled it amazing guitar player or something like that. He's trying to show cool effects and how they can work together. Fuck you

  • Thanks for your comment amarr1-- You're a pretty cool guy.

  • Well-- thanks for the compliment. I try my best.

  • lol?

  • @amarr1 and who said he was

  • nice playin man what u playin through for an amp

  • In this vid its just my home practice amp which is a Line 6 Flextone II combo. In my main live setup I run a Mesa Boogie Tremoverb head and a vintage Hiwatt 100 head

  • make a video combining a phaser, flanger, and autowah.

  • Hey Man !

Have you changed the tuners in Epiphone you are playing in this video ? I know that pickups are different than stock :P Cool effects and playing ! Cheers :)

  • Kinda... I changed part of the tuners, the actual tuning pegs r the same classic style green ones, but the actually mechanism has been changed yeh. So it looks the same, but works better than stock. This guitar was pre-grover tuners on Epiphones.

  • That´s So Cool !!! I love those pedals

  • ugh I hate pedals!!

  • Why? They can be used to supplement your amps tones. I play in a band with three guitarists, if we all just used the overdrive channels on our Mesa Boogies all the time it would sound rubbish.

You'll probably find that most of the bands you listen to will use either pre (stomp boxes) effects or post (after recording)effects when recording, and a few for live use.

You seem to like Def Leppard who have one of the wettest sounds ever on record, lots of fx on their recordings.

  • I respect that you have a love for pedals, but to my ears most pedals do not give me a sound that I like. I have dealt with many pedals before and I could get a reasonable sound, however they were to much of a hassle for me transport. I had a Boss sd1, ch1, cs3, ns2, ds1 and a crybaby. But the hassle of all the velcro and powering them just did not work for me. But I am glad it works for you, and I like your tone alot! I prefer the digital rack effects now. I love effects but I dont love pedals!

  • Cool man, the other two guys in the band use digital rack effects, from TC Electronics, sounds awesome, so I can see where ur coming from. I am more of a stomp box nut I must admit. I use 2 heads in my live rig now, and my pedals and amps are controlled via a Gig Rig Pro 14, which is cool as it gives me all the advantages of cool vintage analog stomp boxes with the ease of use (i.e amp switching, channel switching, effects on/off, fx volume etc), of rack and midi effects. Cheers!

  • Wow thats quite the setup! So do you have to transport all of your pedals to and from your band practices and performances with vinyl future? Or do you have additional pedals in other locations?

I got rid of my pedals and now I have just a single 6 spot rack mount. I have a TC Elec. G Major, Mesa Boogie Triaxis, Furman Power Cond, Korg DTR200 Tuner, DBX comp Limiter, and a shure Wireless System. And a Mesa 2x12 I love it! But I cant get certain tones that you can get out of pedals..

  • Ooooft sweet setup dude, very very similar to my band mate Thomas who uses the G Major + Tri Axis + 2:90 -> 2 x 1x12's, it sounds awesome.

I transport all the pedals, which is the main drawback as it its heavy!! Building a newfloorboard for my new live rig so everyhing will be connected and screwed down in a flightcase, make life much easier.

You play in a band yourself?

  • dude this whole setup you got there is like well over $2500 for this song only. haha nice playing though

  • Yeh, I like my pedals. My setup is aot larger now. Check out some of my more recent videos they have most of my rig in them. Cheers

  • damn man, your tone gives me goosebumps. That's friken sweat!

  • Awesome!!! I want a boss flanger soo bad! You make your pedals sound badass!!!

  • nice sounds awsome

  • nice playing

    the tremelo on my amp

    sucks completely

barely get any type of tremelo effect out of it

  • Yeh I have built in tremolo on my Mes Boogie Tremoverb, its aint that good either, I usually use a pedal to drive the tremolo.

  • Thanks for that. Nice input. Can you explain why I am a 'stupid fuck'

  • LOL

  • yeah dude, why is he stupid fuck...? oh! i know! you are jelous because he's good guitarist! :]

  • very nice

  • 2nd and 3rd riffs were sick

    keep it up!

  • Awesome!

The riff that starts at around 00:56 sounds like it came from Bulls on Parade.

    Great riff!

  • i like it. the intro riff reminds me of a Who song. (:

i'll listen to your band then.

oh, and you're a sick guitarist, so that helps.

  • flangers r sick

  • can you tell me what the effect pedal is called so i can buy one

  • Hey man, I list them in the video description

  • woahhhhhhh that's awesome

  • i find the guitar hero kid to be amazingly funny.

i think your guitar tone is too shrill for that many effects. the flanger ends up coming out as cheesy nu-core type stuff. if that's what you're going for though... by all means.

  • The effects are abit cheesey but they r isolated in the video, listen to them within the context of the song with the other 2 guitarists in my band and they sound cool.

  • It sounded nice, but didn't sound impressive. Maybe I play too much Guitar Hero and listen to too much System of a Down, but I like guitars to produce really complex tunes. If a guitar isn't, then other things are the focus of the song like good lyrics, voice, drums and whatever, in which case I wouldn't want to look at a video of an unremarkable tune.

But I couldn't dream of playing like you do in a thousand years, so brilliant work!

  • These vids are purely to showcase guitar effects, not my songs. Having said that, this clip comes from a song which is a rockin tune, but me on my own does not do it justice. Check out my bands myspace for a full version!

  • I don't like it. Sorry. Too many effects. And I don't like flanger anyway. Sorry man.

    But you play good :-)

  • Listen to the guitar parts within the context of the song with the band playing along, it works better that way, check out my bands myspace.

  • Kool.... you shaved since the last video i saw.... Dude... you rock, plain and simple. i want you 2 play at my B-Day thats how awesome you are(keep rockin)

  • Thanks for the kind words man, the beard comes and goes! Its back at the moment! I would play at your bday dude, but you live...rather inconvienently.... in Canada. Happy bday when it comes!

  • Sweet OK Computer poster

  • sounds great. is the Gt-6 capable of making the delay sound from the beginning

  • The GT6 is capable of creating all the tones used here, depends which amp I use on which pedals I use to create them. If I am using the Line 6 Flextone II I use th GT6 for all the effects except the distortion. But if I use my Mesa Boogie Tremoverb Head I use stomp boxes to get the effects.

  • Sweet! The effects are used well AND dont gum/muddy up the tone so your playing comes out nicely, which btw, nice playing! Overall solid.

    (Anchorman quote) Neato gang!

  • awesome radiohead poster.

  • awesome, nice tone, nice effect, nice playing, bravo!

  • Flanger riff is the best one in this song by far.

Followed closely by the big metal one under the solo i think.

    Gaz

  • What amp are you using?

  • In this vid a Line 6 Flextone II

  • way rad!
