i apologise. I have about 100 videos on here now all with fairly detailed video descriptions. As you can imagine this a fairly time consuming undertaking and on occasion details can be overlooked. Watch any number of my other videos which will prove that on the whole I am fairly accurate and honest with the gear used. Why would i pretend an epi is a gibson when I already own a PRS Singlecut which is more expensive than a gibson les paul and in my opinion better for my personal needs
No PRS is more expensive than a vintage Les Paul custom, or as impressive imho. But all that aside, dude is just being a lamer ; we can all see and tell it's an Epi by the headstock.
Hi, I'm from Brazil and I've been watching your videos and your band's for a while. You've really helped me with my doubts about some pedals, for example I bought my dl4 before watching some of your videos. I'd like to ask, do you use the tremolo of your Flextone or some pedal? Does Flextone's tremolo work with tap tempo? If you use some tremolo pedal, what would it be? Congratulations for your band's work, really good sound, cheers.
Iv used a few tremolo's. My Mesa Boogie has an inbuilt tremolo. I have used the Boss GT6 on board tremolo. I hav used the Flextone II tremolo. I also use a Line 6 Tap Tremolo pedal, which does have a tap tempo function but i dont like the sound.
I now use a TC Electronic Nova Modulator which has a tremolo with tap tempo function and it sounds great, very versatile.
that sound sounds exactly like morrellloooo!!!! hhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmm....... let me find out thats a lick from pulls on parade when he goes cha cha! cha cha!! wika eika eika wika cha cha cha cha!
I play in a few bands. In fact the this song is one of my bands. My main band are called Vinyl Future. There are links in the video description to relevant sites etc. Thanks for the comment!
Im not sure what you saying here to be honest? Vinyl Future are still ongoing, we just need a new drummer and its been difficult to get hold of someone at the same level as our original drummer.
just wanted to say that i like your music and waiting for possibility to buy your CD, im from Poland so it may be a problem, but i have a lot of patience. have a nice day :)
Glad you like our music. CD's will eventually be available to buy online, and we will be shipping to anywhere so the fact you are in Poland shouldnt make much of a difference. We are sorting out a bank account right now to enable use to sell the CD's hopefully shodlnt be too long!!!
Ive always wanted to know how to get that sound in the begining. The same that greenday used for blvd of broken dreams. Would u please take a moment and tell me how that sound was made meaning what pedals are you exactly using at that moment? It would be greatly appreciated.
Tap tempo tremolo effect is how I am producing the sound in this video, so delay and tremolo are locked into the bpm of the song. Not sure how greenday done it, probably in a similar way but almost certainly a post effect in the studio
Hey man, I also like this track, Gary's solo is outstanding on 'Marlboro King' in my opinion.
Live depends which amp I am using. If its a small gig I might be lazy and just take my pratice amp, Flextone II a Boss GT6 and Line 6 DL4.
If I use my full rig, Hiwatt and Mesa amp, I need to take a shitload of pedals. The new pedalboard with GigRig Pro 14 has about 25pedals, its mammoth but sounds great.
Thanks for buying 'Airport Syndrome' if you did already, much appreciated!

Good thing you named the title by the sound effects because if you named it best solo ever like most other guys I would have to say that wasnt much talent...but thank god for sound effects!!! =D
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
My point was it really wasnt alot of talent. It was just cool effects so its a good thing that you named the title by the effects or else all of those youtube critics out there that have nothing better to do than criticise will probably criticise you.
Its not the most demanding piece of music I do admit, go listen to my band then comment on my 'talent'. The whole point of the video is demonstrate how effects can be used in conjunction with each other, not for me to shred and show off like a loser. What use is that to anyone?
Post some videos of your own and people may take ur comments more seriously.
I did not say you had no talent so dont get all crazy. I just said that it was a save that you named the title by the effects or else you probably would be getting alot of crappy coments. So, r we cool?
Why would i name the video best solo ever? All my demo vids are named accordingly with regards to the gear being demoed. But yes i see ur point regarding the comments and i hv seen those 'best solo ever videos' but i am not a jackass hence would nvr name a video in tht way.
He's not trying to show how amazing he is. If he was, then he would have titled it amazing guitar player or something like that. He's trying to show cool effects and how they can work together. Fuck you
In this vid its just my home practice amp which is a Line 6 Flextone II combo. In my main live setup I run a Mesa Boogie Tremoverb head and a vintage Hiwatt 100 head
Have you changed the tuners in Epiphone you are playing in this video ? I know that pickups are different than stock :P Cool effects and playing ! Cheers :)
Kinda... I changed part of the tuners, the actual tuning pegs r the same classic style green ones, but the actually mechanism has been changed yeh. So it looks the same, but works better than stock. This guitar was pre-grover tuners on Epiphones.
Why? They can be used to supplement your amps tones. I play in a band with three guitarists, if we all just used the overdrive channels on our Mesa Boogies all the time it would sound rubbish.
You'll probably find that most of the bands you listen to will use either pre (stomp boxes) effects or post (after recording)effects when recording, and a few for live use.
You seem to like Def Leppard who have one of the wettest sounds ever on record, lots of fx on their recordings.
I respect that you have a love for pedals, but to my ears most pedals do not give me a sound that I like. I have dealt with many pedals before and I could get a reasonable sound, however they were to much of a hassle for me transport. I had a Boss sd1, ch1, cs3, ns2, ds1 and a crybaby. But the hassle of all the velcro and powering them just did not work for me. But I am glad it works for you, and I like your tone alot! I prefer the digital rack effects now. I love effects but I dont love pedals!
Cool man, the other two guys in the band use digital rack effects, from TC Electronics, sounds awesome, so I can see where ur coming from. I am more of a stomp box nut I must admit. I use 2 heads in my live rig now, and my pedals and amps are controlled via a Gig Rig Pro 14, which is cool as it gives me all the advantages of cool vintage analog stomp boxes with the ease of use (i.e amp switching, channel switching, effects on/off, fx volume etc), of rack and midi effects. Cheers!
Wow thats quite the setup! So do you have to transport all of your pedals to and from your band practices and performances with vinyl future? Or do you have additional pedals in other locations?
I got rid of my pedals and now I have just a single 6 spot rack mount. I have a TC Elec. G Major, Mesa Boogie Triaxis, Furman Power Cond, Korg DTR200 Tuner, DBX comp Limiter, and a shure Wireless System. And a Mesa 2x12 I love it! But I cant get certain tones that you can get out of pedals..
Ooooft sweet setup dude, very very similar to my band mate Thomas who uses the G Major + Tri Axis + 2:90 -> 2 x 1x12's, it sounds awesome.
I transport all the pedals, which is the main drawback as it its heavy!! Building a newfloorboard for my new live rig so everyhing will be connected and screwed down in a flightcase, make life much easier.
i think your guitar tone is too shrill for that many effects. the flanger ends up coming out as cheesy nu-core type stuff. if that's what you're going for though... by all means.

It sounded nice, but didn't sound impressive. Maybe I play too much Guitar Hero and listen to too much System of a Down, but I like guitars to produce really complex tunes. If a guitar isn't, then other things are the focus of the song like good lyrics, voice, drums and whatever, in which case I wouldn't want to look at a video of an unremarkable tune.
But I couldn't dream of playing like you do in a thousand years, so brilliant work!
These vids are purely to showcase guitar effects, not my songs. Having said that, this clip comes from a song which is a rockin tune, but me on my own does not do it justice. Check out my bands myspace for a full version!

Thanks for the kind words man, the beard comes and goes! Its back at the moment! I would play at your bday dude, but you live...rather inconvienently.... in Canada. Happy bday when it comes!
The GT6 is capable of creating all the tones used here, depends which amp I use on which pedals I use to create them. If I am using the Line 6 Flextone II I use th GT6 for all the effects except the distortion. But if I use my Mesa Boogie Tremoverb Head I use stomp boxes to get the effects.

Sweet! The effects are used well AND dont gum/muddy up the tone so your playing comes out nicely, which btw, nice playing! Overall solid.

Flanger riff is the best one in this song by far.
Followed closely by the big metal one under the solo i think.
