Honestly I see no benefit in point sparring. It does not show how the fighting is in real life. I choose not to point spar. Their really is no point in doing it.

Um the kid in the white and black was scared, it seemed but neither of them would stack up against me. Plus they only used their feet at my gym/dojo we spar with hands and feet. Nice job though.

@Bowser666 Dude, tkd matches require not only proper contact, but for the opponent to be moved backwards. This isn't anything like tkd. They're just kids, what do you expect?

@jeza38 yea well unlike tkd sparring this requires much more tactics, if everyone were to just beat the crap out of eachother, what good would that be? and what more would you be proving if you knock someone out rather than just showing them that you can beat them, not much. iv been to tkd matches too, and i have to say your wrong, if were talking about "kids" then there is not supposed to be any kind of "proper" contact, adults are different. Maybe you should get your facts straight

@pedrampesar I've only made two claims to fact, the gist being that a TKD match requires a decent hit on the opponent for points to be scored.

Olympic rules are actually quite strict, forbidding blows to the back part of the body and punching to the head. While I don't completely agree with both of these restrictions, as they move the match further from reality, they ensure that it does not become a street fight. You may be thinking of UFC.

@pedrampesar You were correct in your observation about us discussing kids, but no mention to kids sparring in TKD was made. I believe somewhere between yours and bowser666's attacks on TKD you got mixed up. Like a rabbit cornered by a pack of beagles, you started pointing at things that don't exist, in a desperate attempt to divert our attention.

I did, however, question the high expectations that other people who have commented on this video have for these competitors.

@Bowser666 and i can see how you think that looks like tkd sparring, (b/c of the kicks) but you have to know that Kung Fu also has these kicks in the style, and if you havent noticed, the circualar movement contradict what TKD teaches and move more towards Kung Fu
