This was off "Among the Living" but I get your point. From "Spreading the Disease" on to "Sound of White Noise" they have been pretty consistent with quality stuff. Some records people like more than others (State of Euphoria - not popular but one of my favorites) but all good stuff. Even the critics, this one and "Spreading..." were acclaimed as thrash classics.

Actually, it's not even remotely close to Metallica. Nor is it at all reminiscent of Trivium...

It has the basic elements of old-school Thrash metal, but what makes it so unique is that it has ANTHRAX'S traditional sound. It's Scott and Dan's creative chugging riffs and Joey's incredibly dynamic vocals that set it apart from conventional thrash.

I don't mean to insult your knowledge of the genre, but seriously comparing Anthrax to Metallica and Trivium is just downright ignorant.

Pantera originated in 1983 and released four albums in the 80s before Cowboys from Hell. Sepultura, a much better band, originated in 1984. Pantera created Groove Metal (in cahoots with Exhorder, whom they directly ripped off) which used grooves instead of technicality, which is why thrashers hate Pantera... Although I personally like them somewhat.
